i would recommend anyone who needs a phone that can do just about anything to get a n97!

All these were sorted out in the Firmware upgrade version 11
there is also a Version 12 coming out soon (end of August) which will solve much more problems and include SKYPE in the software.
As for the mini USB connector... this is now universal... all NOKIA, Ericson, Motorola, Samsung... etc phones will have the same connector and same charger...

Last Nokia I had was the N96. I had to get it replaced twice in 2 weeks and the third time it broke I exchanged it for se c 905. I got the N 97 last week and I am having similar problems with it running slow and screen not lighting up in when I unlock it. I also want to know why did Nokia change the size of the usb connector in the phone?! I thought it was just in n 96 but it appears to be mere common now. I also tried to charge the n 97 by use of the usb while the battery was drained and it would not start or charge. The phone seems to have more limitations each day that I use it. Finally can anyone tell me ie o2 irelang are blocking an update for the n97?

If a manufacturer sees that the little white sticker inside has gone pink (i.e. come in contact with water) then they will say there's nothing they can do. An independent repair shop is your only option in the case of a wet phone.

I have a few question about the symbian 3rd apps
can n97 download files from sendspace, megaupload, rapidshate and others?
Is there any app for downloading files from these site above?
iPhone does have ishare (sendspace, need jailbreakng)
Tomtom coming soon
Vlc/mplayer has been ported to iPhone
symbian seems to lost many good developers? Am I wrong?
