hello friends .....
i wanna purchase a new nokia phone i m confuse about nokia X6 & nokia N97 mini .... plz tell me which is better option for me i wanna purchase fully complete phone with long life... in N97 i scare about slider b'coz i listen slider not run long its loose. And about its working or not and how nokia give cable with box or purchase ............
help me .........

Only thing i can say, dat, this phone is one of the best mobile i'v ever seen... But the problem with software is solvable. if anyone had ever had problems like slow-working, unability to answer or end calls, during listening to music, etc. You have clear up all unuseful&unnecessary files'n'folders from phone(C) memory...

[deleted post]been using the n97 mini for 3 weeks now.
here's my initial review:
the mini is the perfect example of a high-end device. very compact and sturdy, and made by high quality materials specially the metal back cover and frame. seems like a phone that's built to last. it is also very easy to type on the three-row querty keyboard.
camera - though outdated interface, it is still one of the best 5mp camera on a phone, i compared it to my ever-reliable n95 8gb, and the mini wins by a mile.
Audio - the loudspeaker grill in front of the phone (the one you used when you call) is decent and clear.
stereo speakers - excellent stereo speaker while using the headset, however it fails to deliver properly when using the loudspeaker when listening to music.
touch sensitivity - it beats the sensitivity of my brother's samsung jet. very responsive even on a resistive touchscreen.
Battery - with an extensive usage, my mini last only a day, or even just half day (on my first full charge). on moderate usage however, it took me 2 - 2 1/2 days. not bad consider the features it packs.
The user interface of the mini is still unstable, i probably had experienced 2 or 3 lags (though i admit i overused it :-)
There are plenty of preinstalled applications, however most of them needs an internet connection to activate, or some are just a shortcut icons to the website. but hey, the icons still look pretty cool.
Connecting to the internet is really a breeze (via wifi) there are tons of applications available for free download on the ovi store. e.g. themes, apps, games etc. (be careful though that all the things you download from the ovi store goes directly to the phone memory). i suggest you guys to just download through your pc, because the ovi store requires intense patience :-)
Overall it is a very simple-looking but very powerful device..
I would focus more on the software part on my next review. Cheers! :-)

eople can't hear me very clear when I speak on this phone. Looks like the only microphone is the little hole when you slide out the keyboard below the arrow keys. If the phone is closed it covers the microphone and hence my voice is soft to other people. Someone Agree? Comment?

I have been using this phone for almost 6 months now. I loved this phone initially due to features it offered. Wifi, free maps, etc. It worked like a dream for few weeks but after a month or so, I have been facing serious problem with this.
Phone would just hang and it would become absolutely unusable. Touch screen, key pad, nothing would respond. At times things gets normal by restarting the phone while at other times even that too won't help.
Consider the situation that someone calls you and you despite of all your efforts, are neither able to pick it nor disconnect it.
I have visited nokia care center twice and have given my phone for a week each but situation is still the same.

I have this problem with my N97 mini very regularly...
The senders name of the messages received in my inbox is sometimes not displayed when i open the inbox.. Instead only the number of the sender is displayed even after saving the phone number, of the sender, by his name in the phone memory of phonebook.
When i restart my phone.. The problem is solved... and again after sometime the same problem occurs..
Please help !!

first of all i would like to say tht Nokia tech's suits me a lot ...and as far as 97 mini features wise it is good phone good camera , good sound and watching movie is very good experiance....but nokia r very bad vth processer speeds
same here..97 processer doesn't support its features as it is very slow and some time v feel v r using low quality handset...spending such a big amount sometime make me feel that it is waste of money...sorry for being harsh
but still its realy difficult for me to leave nokia

Has anyone tried recently released DivX Player v1 on their N97 mini?
If Yes, kindly let me know how is it's performance in terms of handling large files (like 600 MB or more) , video resolutions (320*240 or 640*360/480) and video bit rates (over 500) while playing videos.

DaLia, 28 Aug 20101st: it's heavy & u can't use it easily while working ... morehow is it possible that its hard for you to connect it thru your pc? i have it and its easy.
