Maybe with the chip shortage when the X30 came out meant a SD 695 was inevitable, but now hoping the replacement has a 7 series chipset as a minimum. All it needs to be is close to a pixel in terms of a viable alternative and it should sell.

Anonymous, 26 May 2023I meant "whether that low volume static noise" is... moreI do not "listen" to calls.... The earpiece while talking on phone has nothing to do with the buttom firing speaker... that part is not affected, only the bottom firing speaker. And again if you are on speaker while calling you won't hear it, but only if you put the speaker next to your ear. But I tought that that was clear...

Anonymous, 19 May 2023Does it cause discomfort while using in for phone callsBy "calls" you mean, On Speaker calls? Earpiece sounds just fine. On Speaker calls sound fine to me too, never bothered me, but as i've said, it generally does not bother me at all because i do not hold the phone's speaker to my ear, or perhaps others problem is bigger then mine? I do not know, for me it sounds good, i really do not notice it, nor it bothers me. As long as i do not hold the speaker to my ear, fact that i never do, because why would i do that? I really don't care if it is a Problem or a *feature*...
Noise comes only when sound passes through.

Anonymous, 19 May 2023They need to boost the chipset to Snapdragon 7 Gen 2. A SD ... moreAgreed. If it's too costly for Nokia to make a proper flagship then they need to at least have an affordable flagship with Snapdragon 7 Series. Nokia X30 is almost there but not quite. If it drives the price up too much, make it a member of XR Series. Being the toughest phone on the market will justify the higher price to customers.

They need to boost the chipset to Snapdragon 7 Gen 2. A SD 695 is too weak for that price. Even an older 778 would be better. Oh and a bigger battery capacity and it's nearly there.

But if you don't like Motorola then go for the Nokia X30. Note that after purchasing Nokia X30, you have to be very patient when Nokia X30 issues arrive on your phone. Because HMD take their sweet time solving issues.

Nokia fan, 25 Apr 2023When is the X30 5G 8/256 coming to Kenya? It hasn't yet arrived. But it's coming soon and I believe it will cost Ksh 70,000 which is way too expensive for such a phone when you compare with other phone brands (Samsung, Tecno, Xiaomi) that are Ksh 50,000 - Ksh 55,000 and have better specs than the X30.
