Everything else working fine, except the auto-mode processing of the camera is far too aggressive and overexposes images in my opinion.

MakeNokiaGreatAgain, 13 May 2023And don't forget to consider Nokia XR21 as a niche option...Yes true, but I think the XR21 is more of a different niche of rugged phones that attracts different consumers, the X30 is more of a classic phone, people probably choose such a phone more often over a rugged one. I hope gsmarena will review the XR21. It didn't happen with the XR20.

Jack, 11 May 2023Should I go x30 at 37k INR or g60 at 30k INR?Best to spend the extra cash and go for the X30. It gives you a much better feeling because the quality is excellent. Besides you get a somewhat smaller phone which is more pocketable.

MakeNokiaGreatAgain, 07 May 2023All good points, and yet impossible is nothing. The parent ... moreWell, i am eropean and even tough not from Finland, am proud of NOKIA and it's legacy. They do not do only networks, they actually do a lot more. Feel free to research their current busineses on their official page.
I am not going to contradict you in all the rest, as you might be right at some points, unfair but this is how it is.
Since you talk about the new design and logo, i kind of fear that nokia will never come back to consumer market to soon. As far as i know, they were quite clear about the fact that the new logo is also to distiguish themselves from companies like hmd that license their brand and pattents.
MeGo to get more support and enter the market again as a third mobile OS with european values and practices, would be me jumping up and down because i'll finaly be able to get ried of groogle. But well😐, a hand of happy people won't help them keep the company afloat.

Carol, 07 May 2023That is a far fatched idea. Even tough i support nokia and ... moreAll good points, and yet impossible is nothing. The parent Nokia needs to swallow HMD and start making phones again. They need to swallow Jolla and bring back all the team that worked on MeeGo and Sailfish and PureView. Innovation in UI is desirable as well as innovation in design and connectivity. And Nokia can do all that. Most of the damage to Nokia / HMD phone sales was done by rival trolls spreading false rumours that Nokia is now just a Chinese brand. Many still believe that. When parent Nokia swallows HMD at least that stupid rumour will go away. Nokia needs to be brave and bold once again. Saying that you will focus on telecom and 5G as your main business is just putting all your eggs in one basket. Nokia as the last European producer must be protected and invested in. All this talk about free markets and fair competition is a lot of bullcrap. Renault is owned by French government, Huawei is owned by Chinese government, thus gaining unfair advantage. When Ford and GM were in trouble they were bailed out by government. Is that fair? No. But it happens. So why not protect Nokia and invest with all of Europe? If WTO rules do not allow that, change the rules, because they are unfair. China has bottomless pits of money to help out its companies and they use it. Europe is just watching. I do not understand this. I am not European myself and I do not root for Europe, but I cannot stand unfair practices. When Microsoft came knocking and said it was buying Nokia phone business, why was that allowed by EU? If tomorrow Boeing comes and says, hey, I am buying Airbus, will they allow that too? It was crazy stupid to give away your only phone manufacturer. Does Microsoft have more money and power than all of EU? It's treason, simple as that. Now, go try to buy a Chinese brand. They will kick your teeth out. Because Chinese are smart and patient, and thus they have outSMARTed everyone. Nokia needs to dust itself off, sit down and start anew, from a blank sheet. The new logo is a good start.

MakeNokiaGreatAgain, 03 May 2023Agree, Nokia is great still. But I miss the days when Nokia... moreThat is a far fatched idea. Even tough i support nokia and used mostly nokia devices, i doubt that hmd will be able to put nokia on the front line again. I actually doubt that smatphones will be fun again and given brands will actually restart innovation. Smartphones have become a necessity/comodity and people buy them according to their pocket and paper specs, or name (most of the apple users), not quite because of innovation. Apple made sure that innovation does not exist anymore, this is how we ended up with this slabs more then 10 years now. Apple keeps showing that marketing and propaganda works, people are easily influenced through it, even if they do not realise it. I mean, even the so called "apple haters" make their quality and features comparisons to apple products. With apple being some kind of tech superior.
Nokia was never good at marketing, well most of the europeans are't, because they mostly are true to themselves and do not promise what isn't there. But marketing is how one gathers customers. People are not interested in who's the best, but in who claims to be the best! Let's be honest, till iphone 5, iphones were all garbage, yet they were already been considered the best, even tough the iphone 1 was not a smartphone and till iphone 3 there was no 3G net support (pretty lame i might say), and iphone 4 was not a phone, because well, it could make a proper call only near 3g antenas. Their cameras up to iphone 11 were trash, to say the least, yet people still considered them great... this is how you know that marketing does more then the actuall product.
Having all this into consideration and thinking how advanced nokia actually was, and how much they fought lame iphones back with actuall innovation and extrodinary design language with the great MeeGo OS, do you still think that innovation and quality prevails at the end? As the history tought us... not really. I do hope tough, that hmd will be able to release a flagship with some goodies in the future, even tough with this market right now, would make no sense for them to do it.

The X30 is running really well with Android 13, honestly a great experience except for the poor mono speaker. HMD seem to have made further changes to the camera app including a better level-meter and less aggressive HDR processing in auto-mode.

Nokia fan, 25 Apr 2023Bruh your name is offensive, Nokia is already great, it... moreAgree, Nokia is great still. But I miss the days when Nokia was The Greatest. Days when they had flagships, best cameras with PureView and Zeiss, their own OS, daring design. I even miss the Lumias and tiles of Windows Phone. That interface was ingenious and so underrated. So many missed opportunities — MeeGo, Jolla, Sailfish... Oh well... Let's hope the tide will turn and Nokia gets back to the very top where they rightfully belong.
