There isn't a premium in-hand feel for the A34 but that's to be expected for the cheaper price.
Imho changing phones yearly contributes to e-waste. That's an undeniable fact

Carol, 19 Apr 2023Ah, you're right, why would hmd even have some common ... moreI agree, it's really not about the cheapness and specs and how cheap it is, honestly, paying a little more will save you some money in the long run especially with hmd's update policy.

These chinese smartphone makers aren't dumb putting bloatware and making the price cheaper, as it is in the long run, the want you to change your phone Every year with every iteration.

So cheap equals more money spent without good quality,
Hmd is doing good stuff, one and only issue is maybe slightly under powered chipset but with stock android you don't have to sweat it

jb, 18 Apr 2023the competition now is greater specs but less price.how can... moreAh, you're right, why would hmd even have some common sense when they could just put some ads and spyware in their devices like xiaomi and other "cheappies" do and the sell 100 euro cheaper, i mean what is the point when there is apple with their "cheap" 1500 euro devices to even try to be different? Everybody just wants cheap and nobody know better... The world might be full of ignorance and some people might not know anything but "cheap is good", but for hmd to go that low ethically and strategicaly, would mean "a shot in the foot". So you see, nope, not everybody wants garbage because is cheap. You probably want that, but in my life, i have learned that one person is not the world.
And why would they even try to compete with chinese brands? People who buy them brands called oppo, moppo, meizu and other "after night pop" brands, do not know, need or want better, they want cheap. Well that's "maybe a big" market hmd does not want to be in, and i agree. That is why i support them.

Anonymous, 04 Apr 2023There is a lot of difference between price drop and value d... moreI am writing this, since you've agreed to what I said. Product's quality is not perceived by the looks and robustness alone. Quality is invariably related to various attributes of the product. When a product's value builds up, it becomes Brand value. Hence, quality is nothing but, value of the product. Quality and Value goes hand in hand. When value drops, it implies that the product's quality is compromised somewhere by the manufacturer. Quality will always be compared to Price when there are competing products. Higher the price doesn't mean high quality. Apple prices their products higher, just because they are a monopoly. There is no one to compete with them. But, it is not the case with Android. Hence it is the competition that decides the price of any product. We believe in NOKIA just by its brand name. Just assume the state of HMD, if they decide to sell their mobiles under the brand name HMD. Hence, the brand name NOKIA ultimately becomes the driver of sales of HMD.

Price drop occurs because of low demand or low sales. Value drop occurs because of DROP IN PRODUCT'S VALUE associated to consumers in relation to price, competition, hardware and software obsolescence/performance, etc.

zaryan, 31 Mar 2023what about charging time ?Between 40 and 60 min, depending of how much charge is left. With nokia original 33w charger. I recomand nokia original chargers, some reported slow charging with some chinese chargers even if charger is at let's say, 64w. Avoid Samsung chargers, from my experience at least, they damage non-samsung devices, well at least in the past.

Good device, takes good Pictures, battery lasts for about 10 H SOT, great call quality and fast enough to never feel frustrated about something. If you are no gamer, i mean, the 24 hours kind, then there is nothing to complain when we talk performance. Most of the Games will work without problems tough, i was talking about heavy games like ganjin impact or whatever is the name, and the likes of it. The quality of the device strucure is top and there is no difference to a flagship, also with ip67 rating, victus glass, 8GB RAM 256 UFS3.0 storage and great amoled screen, what's there on a flagship that this device does not have besides a cpu? To pay 500 more for a flagship CPU and some gimmiks, is hard after you work on this device. Problems? Well, some bugs here and there, android 13 is very stable tough so i can't wait to update it. The only thing one could complain here would be probably the speaker, i mean it does not bother me, but some people are bothered by the white noise it makes at low volumes, i couldn't care less but others might.
