Minu, 07 Nov 2022The best thing is to wait for stable updates. Totally worth itThat's what i did with my Nokia 3.1
The smartphone was just old new stock so when i buy it all updates happened in one go all know bugs already find and fixed or at least most of them

The problem with the Nokia g10 it is too modern easy os rollback is a feature that is screaming out load how badly it is needed on the Nokia smartphones

The Nokia g10 is really suffering on android 12 badly i don't know what it was like on android 11 but damn it shouldn't run this badly

Nokia huge mistake with processor & android version pairing
MediaTek Helio G25 is a Low end budget processor from 2020
but it's got the very tall order too run android 12 & omg android 13
on top of all that it's got too try too manage with only 3gb ram

Google also making the later versions android brutally heavy on hardware also android 12 runs badly on like ever budget phone even mid range phones are not safe from this
and android really bad ram management system in need of improvement
i read and seen so many complaints about performance on new smartphones

MediaTek Helio G25 was not made with this in mind ??
The odds are stacked against it

Sin, 07 Nov 2022The phone am getting is for my mum She hates Nokia smartp... moreIt sounds like your mum needs to just manage her apps and tabs, there is no need for 8 or 12GB of RAM for her use case.

I know how it is because my parents are the same, they don't understand dismissing apps or closing tabs, deleting junk files or not enabling notifications from random websites they visit.

The G10 is a slow phone with a poor chipset, but the X10 for £150 on Amazon at the moment is a good deal. It doesn't matter what brand your mum uses if she uses her phone in the same way she will encounter issues.

Anonymous, 07 Nov 2022I love the poor very much than the rich and the super rich ... moreyeah it's hard too find it's possible about a year and a half ago
we bought a Umidigi a9 pro 8gb ram 128ufs storage mediatek hello p60
smartphone for only 135 pound brand new
      for my little sister

The Umidigi brand is know for there shocking high specs for shocking low pricing
and stock android not only does Umidigi do all that at such low price
it's a well built smartphone that is reliable & high quality

The Umidigi a9 pro 8gb ram really does blow the other brands out the the water
such a beast a smartphone it is

sadly the prices have gone up so we can't just buy another one
not at that price anymore :((

To answer to your requirements properly, there is no mobile with 8gb of RAM and with a modest SOC which falls within your budget and if you need clean Stock Android there is no mobile with HMD. Hope you can understand your situation. Good luck.

If you don't like any of them, just increase your budget or stop using mobiles. Wait for Black Friday deals to see if some mobile falls within your budget.

She hates Nokia smartphones because there slow

The problem with Nokia phones is they slower than similar or lower spec Chinese smartphones as they get endless android os version updates that slow them down too a crawl

The Nokia g10 on Android 12 is the perfect example of this it can't handle or cope with android 12 and worsed of all it will get even slower when android 13 update comes

Even generic phone we got from wish still out class the Nokia phones in performance in the os & ul and browser thanks too running older more stable versions of android

The Nokia g10 was expected too be smoother than the generic p30 pro or at least my mum's old Samsung j3 that can't make calls at least it can run candy crush unlike the g10 with whipping 3-5 minutes loading times

The problem with Nokia g50 or Nokia x10 with only 6gb ram & only snapdragon 480 is there basically budget smartphone with moderate performance at best that get slowed down by updates back too square one in a year

8gb ram really is bare minimum for most people I get a 12gb ram if It was possible

Sadly we only have 150 pound budget too work with
Normal people only care about performance above all else

All normal people care about is how smooth a smartphone runs in day to day usage and battery life

Nokia is competitive in the sub 100 pound price range a price range where Nokia is value for money brand
A good alternative is possibly Alcatel brand the main competitor of the Nokia brand

In 2022 it's choose between Nokia or Alcatel for budget smartphones in the UK market

You may be able to buy something like Nokia G50 that is much cheaper than its launch price, and it's fairly decent given that it has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Keep less expectations if you buy something dirt cheap. You'd be impressed. That's why I ended up getting a Nokia 8 whereas I could get so many phones from Chinese brands and Samsung alike for a few hundred dollars more than what I paid for the Nokia 8.

Anyone has any idea if in android 13 you van change that big lock screen clock into something smaller sized or no clock at all? Cause it looks way too large and oversized and I find it annoying on my X30 lock screen.

I look at infinix or tecno and similar phones

There is also TCL or possibly a OEM phone if any match the 8gb ram spec requirements

It's possible get 8gb ram at 150 pound it's just hard too find as there often from strange Chinese brands or made for other markets

As the blootware slow down there phones plus other problems such as ads etc

It's doubtful the Nokia x20 can be found that cheap
The Snapdragon 480 also questionable and Android OS updates are disliked

The Nokia 8 does have a old flagship processor as well as running on older Android version that has lower system requirements

All the smartphones that are smooth do all of the 8gb ram amount in common 8gb ram already bare minimum coming into 2023

Imho 6GB RAM is overkill for someone who doesn't use their phone too much, especially those who don't play heavy games, but 4GB RAM with stock Android runs faster than any 8GB or 10GB RAM smartphone with bloatware.
P.s.: I've had over 120 tabs open in chrome on my Nokia 8 and it surprisingly never lagged or crashed, despite having only 4GB of RAM, and that's what people call the "bare minimum" these days

Before the Nokia g10 she used my Nokia 3.1 for a day she borrowed it but come back screen protector broken storage corrupted and even battery drained

The Nokia did get screen protector replacement it's screen was fine and we just used instructions manual too recovery the OS and reset the phone

X10 doesn't have a 8gb ram version sadly my mum is a multi tasker she opens like 50-100 web pages & will try to answer calls at same time as play candy crush and just do a lot at the same time
Snapdragon 480 also reason for consern about the performance of it in the UI & OS in future versions of Android

We had a lot of problems with how buggy Android 12 is
And how badly it runs on budget smartphones
The Android updates was the deal breaker as they slow down already slow phones and we don't want too beta test new Android versions & software

We are needing 8gb ram bare minimum
I look for other brands with better specs it's kinda hard too find 8gb ram smartphones at 150 pound in the uk
