Nokia makes the only other affordable brand name smartphones
I weak screen is something too worry about
A though I never broken a phone screen
The screen being dim just better on battery life
Most phone screen get unnecessary bright
Am worried about if software be really bad or not with Alcatel
I don't think old flagship phones are dual SIM
I won't buy second hand
am from the uk so the only choice I have
The only phone I can find is the HTC one m9 from 2015 at a price premium
It's also not got a removable battery 😢

Please don't do it, just buy an old flagship phone, even a 2016/2017 flagship from any brand will be much better. Yes I know you can only get those cheap if they were used, but even if that's the case they are still gonna be much better.

I haven't been to that universe where those exist, can you show me the portal that leads me there?
Jokes aside I haven't used an Alcatel phone before, but some of my customers have, they all hate, their screen is barely visible and it breaks so easy it's incredible, an S7 Edge is unbreakable compared to them.

What's the catch of buying a Alcatel phone
On paper Alcatel phone specs look okay
Alcatel really amazing phone designs and excellent TFT LCD screens and a lot too like about them such as removable battery's headphone jack SD card slot bezels premium plastic build
I had a look at some of the phones in there line up online they sell them in the shops in the UK at amazing prices I might possibly be able too try one in a shop like look at a display modal if I can find one
Am considering some of there phones
The Alcatel 1b 2022 looks interesting too me
The Nokia c01 plus is not a good phone 😢
Reason when surfing the web the browser keeps closing it's self and listen too music closing it's self again switching too other browser tab has too reload the full page from the Start again so frustrating and barely even usable poor usability apps close themselves 24/7
so am looking for dual SIM replacement

Nokia is good if you want affordable smartphones
Just think of Nokia like Alcatel there both focused on the budget market
if you want a really cheap phone Nokia is ok
fun fact nokia owns there main competitor Alcatel
The cheapest nokia G series ok and the nokia C series do have some good designed
phones but the specs are low
but premium phone i think you need too look elsewhere

The Nokia brand whats people too keep there phones for longer
I also agree with this view point
its better value for money if you get 6 years out of a phone instead of 3 years
better for both the customer and more ego friendly in the long run
The problem is the way Nokia going about it
The battery is none removable and no changer in the box so extra hidden cost
with cheap generic changer or costly Nokia brand name changer
i think is very anti consumer and will lead too dead battery's
and is bad for both the environment and the poor customer who has too live with this phone with poor battery life
design wise it's not practical
i dislike the screen / camera problem fighting over the same spot
The high price and lower then ideal processor
it's a controversial decision Nokia has made
if Nokia really wants people too keep there phones for longer future proof the preference as it's ages the worsted plus battery life
The other fear is android is a heavy os new android versions need good hardware
after 2 or 3 android update versions it will slow the phone down by how much i don't know
The question is after 5 years will the performance still hold up for future apps and games or the needs of the customers who buy this
in a few years it will be a low end processor

They may not be the best value for money but they are made with durability and usability in mind. That theory would make perfect sense if they asked for high prices without improving anything and reducing the quality drastically, like what Samsung and BBK does

Something quite refreshing to see. Also I hope that circular allows to replace batteries free of cost as a reward

so buyers in the uk won't have this problem
I so don't support this what brands are doing by removing the charger in box
Its the most anti consumer thing a brand can do
having just the cable don't make me feel much better about it
it's also not ego friendly as it leads too people buying the brand name changer or generic changer
but again we now just shipping 2 box's now in post now
also this phone just had extra hidden cost added too it now
not changers have the same port or made too work on same smartphones not all phones have been made with type c in mind we can't change the past phones where made without type c so old tech like always called obsolete
and even them smartphones that do have type c will still work better with the changer that was made for that phone
i think new smartphones are going have there battery's health degrade faster because of this changer problem only made worse by the fact that battery's are not user replaceable

Sure you can buy a phone with the SD695 for much less, but those phones are definitely not produced with a minimal environmentally footprint in mind. Look at Fairphone, just an example. They're doing even more effort than HMD with Nokia phones. Sadly the ignorance in the world grows by the day, so I can't even blame you for being ignorant.

We want a Nokia with leading specifications. I feel comfortable when adding an IR port to the new Nokia. The desired competitor is Xiaomi 12, Vivo X80, and Honor Ultimate.
