We need his phone in India..i will buy this, my uncle and brother and sister will buy this this to. for Indian market this product is great. we dont care about Iphone. How cool is this, touchscreen and buttons..Nokia will rule the smartphoneworld! Must say that i love this product, i will be the coolest guy among my friends.

this is not a smartphone. and stop thinking that touchscreen=smartphone *facepalm* and no, s40 is not a smartphone OS. nothing wrong with this phone not being a smartphone. it was meant to be a feature phone. look for the glossary definition here for feature phone for a better understanding.

Thanx mike,niraj,anonymous for your higher knowledge and kind info.i may be totally confused about s40 relation with symbian,i only meant that this model runs on s40,so no multitasking even with it is equipped with touchscreen n fancy keyboards.thanx a lot.

S40 is java based and S60 platform is based on Symbian. Since symbian is Smartphone OS, so it allows to run 3rd party applications nativaly. Symbian allows 3rd party applications to use most of every phone resources. Symbian gives full control to the applications. Symbian also allows 3rd party applications to integrate on the OS. S60 can do all this things but since s40 is based on Java (not symbian) and its a simple platform, it cant do all these things. How can be s40 is based on symbian if it cant even install sis / sisx files, which are default file format for symbian. Please dont confuse people. S40 is not symbian based.
