According to (specs) ☝🏻 This phone is so expensive 👎🏻

not sure why, but Snapdragon 480 is much better than Snapdragon 660, here is a link: https://nanoreview.net/en/soc-compare/qualcomm-snapdragon-660-vs-qualcomm-snapdragon-480

AP, 27 Nov 2021How long does the battery last?Battery lasting around 2 days with normal use. 10+ phone calls, web browsing, mail etc, some hours of internet radio. More hard use you get up to 1,5 day. I have not been below 35% 1. Day. Normaly I have 55-65% when I go to bed 1. Day.

Wow!!! It is an amazing phone.
I was worried it would be slow, due to comments about its not flagship processor etc... It is not slow at all. Screen refresh rate at ONLY 60... I can not notice that it is bad, maybee if you are a heavy gamer. Regardless of the bad comments (Coming ONLY from people that not own the phone, or not even tried it) I went out and bought it 3 weeks ago.
And I am superglad I did, it is faster, better screen, better battery and way better to use than I expected of a big durability phone like this. In my opinion, you will get a great phone that is worth the money you pay for it.

I was planning to wait for this phone, but when Nokia came with the XR20, I just could not resist to buy this machine of a phone. Big yes, but superb to use, not slow at all (I am not gaming) and very good battery life. 3 weeks now, and charge normally every second day, somethimes if close to 50% in the evening I might charge it up to 60-70% so I know I have juice all the next day.

When are you (gsmarena) going to have your review of the XR20?
I am very interested in how it does it against a phone like Motorola Defy, since they are both made for durability.

nokia XR20 i agree it's far from a flagship but the price of the smartphone you can fit a flagship smartphone into it

Price i can find the phone for $600

As for spec it's should be better snapdragon Snapdragon 480 5G only 6gb of ram lack of oled screen

well anyway am looking at this phone from the view point of if you own a nokia 9 pureview get oftered this phone 50% discount

well the nokia 9 pureview is a flagship a older one but it out class this phone in ever way other then android version {android 10 vs android 11 both still supported} and being rugged

just wanted say if you own a nokia 9 pureview just giving a heads up this smartphone is a downgrade any x phone nokia has made so far as of 2021 is a downgrade

Hi. I have used XR20 for 2 weeks now, totally happy with it. Coming from a Galaxy S10e, this phone is very big, but exellent to use. Battery lasting about 2 days, have not been below 50% after 1 day yet.

Carol, 06 Dec 2021You probably have no idea of what hardware a phone is made ... moreExcept this phone isn't even close to a flagship.
While you're correct that build quality is important to get into the flagship tier of devices, but having just that doesn't automatically make you qualify for the flagship tier, and this phone doesn't have much going for it beyond its build.

                              1. OS Update -
I realize that the situation with Nokia 9 PureView is much more nuanced but it doesn't help the diminishing confidence one has in Nokia.
Nokia 9 was an Android One device, and its updates stopped abruptly. They seem to be doing okay with their other devices so maybe they won't can the updates for this device.

                              2. SoC -
Snap 480 series is a decent SoC, and can be considered a great SoC for entry level midrangers. But in this price segment, you'd expect nothing less than Snap 750, 765 or better yet a Snap 778.

                              3. Camera -
OIS isn't the be all, end all but a good chunk of brands are adding OIS to their devices these days. Heck, Samsung adds them to their midrangers.

                              4. Screen Refresh Rate -
It's disappointing that a phone in this price segment doesn't have a 90Hz refresh rate when others in this segment are sporting a 120Hz refresh rate.

Also, Nokia isn't the only OEM trying to sell the "stock android" experience. Motorola does it and from what I gather even Sony does it.

I'd still say that XR20 is very promising, in that this device is (to my knowledge) the first one where Nokia went with a slightly more modern design - going with a punchole, dropping the company branding on the front bezels etc.
That being said, HMD might still need to revisit their strategy as a whole as they :-
                              > Continue to sell mediocre products such as Nokia X100, Nokia G50 etc.
                              > Have confusing nomenclature that makes it hard to determine which product line represents a flagship and which doesn't.

I'm looking for a compact phone, 5.5-5.8". Every time I click a new device, I see screen size of 6.6" above. Weird world. All phones look the same now.

Can't wait to buy it sometime in December when I will have some money. I prefer the granite gray colour. I would like to get the 128gb/6gb variant, but I will check the money I will have available the time I'm going to buy. I wanted a rugged phone for a long time and I decided to support the new nokia phones from HMD, although in the era before 2010 was much more a Sony Ericsson W series lover than Nokia then.
