What you have with Oled, I have with LCD. The only LCD I ever loved was not on a famous brand, but on a cheap Chinese brand that already died (the model was called Thor). It was so punchy in terms of colours and has such a deep blacks that I often thought it was an oled. To me it's that punchyness and the deep blacks (especially no glare or bleed in darker locations due to the back-lighting thing with LCD's.

I would not do that if the experience went sour very quickly and on more than one device, almost in parallel. Now it could be a case of very bad luck (and I hope it is as deeply I'm still a bit fond of the brand).

There is an error in the description of Snapdragon 695 and the Ultra HD resolution The processor does not support this resolution, either this phone has another processor, or the resolution does not exist, or I do not know

The device is full-featured if an infrared port is added...... The camera needs to add a micro ...the cameras need 60 fps, front and back...

Guys, yall misunderstand something. The phone itself is only 370$, it's the now premium headphone jack cost 200$

MakeNokiaGreatAgain, 04 May 2023I ask with hope there may be people from Nokia on this site... moreNokia Corp., is different from "Nokia" branded mobiles of HMD. The brand name "Nokia" used by HMD is owned by Nokia Corp. HMD just owns the license to use "Nokia" brand name of Nokia Corp., which they purchased from Microsoft. This purchase of "Nokia" brand licence is just a transfer of license from Microsoft to HMD at that time.

Businesses around our world function with many licenses, most of which are not known to the public. Present Nokia mobiles are products of HMD and Nokia Corp., has no say in anything HMD does because, HMD reserves the right to use the brand name "Nokia" for their mobile devices (ONLY) until the expiry of their license. If this license expires, HMD has to renew it with Nokia Corp.

Coming to brand name "Lumia", it is a discontinued line of mobile devices by Microsoft. This brand "Lumia" was the original property of Nokia Corp., before it got into the hands of Microsoft. Who owns this brand currently, is unknown.

Windows Mobile OS is the property of Microsoft and is NOT an Open Source OS. If HMD wishes to release a Nokia branded mobile with Windows Mobile OS, they have to make a deal with Microsoft. According to Microsoft, it seems that they have scrapped Windows Mobile OS completely. Also, please note that Windows Mobile OS is entirely different from Windows OS for computers.

This is so ridiculously overpriced!! 😅

Anonymous, 04 May 2023Why don't you Google it to learn the answer for yourself?I ask with hope there may be people from Nokia on this site who will give a reliable answer. It would be awesome if Nokia releases a Lumia Windows Tab. That's why I'm asking if Nokia owns the Lumia brand. Googling gives no answer.

Nokia think they are still in 2008 Wake up brhhh. You can buy doogee or ulefone rugged phone instate of nokia.

Does anybody know if 'Lumia' brand name currently owned by Nokia or by Microsoft?

Yet another cash grab from Nokia. A decent phone for who awants a rugged, but 500$+ for this is way over the real value of the specs offered, this should be around 300$, 350$ at most. Why buy this when you can buy a mid ranger for less money and slap a full on cover, or better yet get another rugged phone with better specs?

Do they even have decent sales?

It is not wise to devalue Zeiss brand on budget phones. Once Nokia goes back to making flagships Zeiss will return as well.

Anonymous, 04 May 2023Zeiss ? No, there is no longer a partnership between HMD/Nokia Mobile and Zeiss. The results only seemed meaningful on the Nokia 9 PureView in terms of colour science, for the rest of the devices it was just a label.

The XR21 has Corning DX+ glass covering the cameras, it is also used on the X30 and actually has a noticeable difference on the optics in my experience.

But what I wouldn't give for a nice modern version with these specs. It doesn't look like it's ever going to happen tho does it. Greedy manufacturers turning them into consumables. Painfully annoying.

Bravo Nokia! 2023 will be a great year for Nokia. XR21, X30 and G60 will sell like hot cakes.

Anyway when I wrote my comment i didn't realise this was a rugged phone. I guess that's what up here - infact I would now say that this phone is light considering concrete drop protection.
