I got this phone in April 05, i really liked it at first, light weight, cheap and good colour. I ve had the phone now for 6months and it has broken every two months during that 6 months with the same fault, it switches itself off and wont come back on. They have repaired it three times but they wont give me a replacement handset until it breaks a fourth time; i think im getting done.

No point to buy this one. Instead, you can get a BenQ M300 (which is 90% similiar in design) for a lower price and the M300 offers more battery life and features.

its a great phone to have but i think they could have put a zoom in for the camera because you cant take pictures from a distance. also there could be more games but apart from that this phone is the best!!!

I have had this phone about 2 months now and i like it. I have had none of the annoyances above e.g. turning off etc. This phone has an attractive, although basic appearance and the phone itself is of a good quality. Loud ringer for people who often struggle to hear their phone when it rings or they recieve a message. Good quality camera, although would benefit from having the zoom feature. Many of my friends were shocked at the quality of the pictures, better than theirs, inclduing samsung D500 and Nokia 6600. Within a few weeks of having mine 3 of my family have the phone now. I think it is well worth the money.

my useless phone now sports a lovely cracked screen resulting from being slung from one end of the bedroom into the wardrobe door after it kindly decided to turn itself off right at the end of a long text ( which didnt store into the drafts).
If anyone dare tell me that its 'hibernating' i will sharpen said phone at both ends and ...................you get the message o2? I think refunds are in order now ta muchly!

I hate using this phone, it has several really annoying traits. The first one had to go back as it kept shutting down, they replaced it and the second phone occasionally locks up so it appears to work but you cant be call, be called or text. It needs the battery pulled to reset it.

The button on the left hand side are too small as swept the wrong way so that when you push then with your thumb its a pain not to press adjacent buttons.

When you are writing a text and another text arrives it interrupts you and you HAVE to read the new text them retrieve your message from the draft folder.

When sending a text, you have to select the names then OK then press to send - absolutely stupid design so you have press diffenent buttons to acknowledge rather than just the one.

The predicitive text is terrible and pretty unusable.

Bacially the whole user interface is substandard when compared to a Nokia.

Its also too noisy - theres bleeps and music for everything - thank god they can be turned off.

Also when the phone is low battery it starts bleeping - and you can't stop it. So that runs the battery down even faster AND you have to turn it off to stop the noise.

The alarm doesnt have a simple ON/OFF you have to select the alarm then a sub menu !

Bascially I really hate this phone it was a lousy purchase, there's been numerous times it nearly got thrown across the room. As soon I can I'm switching back to Nokia !

                                DON'T BUY ONE !

To confirm it IS turning off and NOT sleeping as I have to turn the thing back on at least ten times daily, and it can turn off as soon as it is turned on.

Lovely little phone, one problem, it keeps turning itself off and is getting very annoying. Does anyone know how to stop this as setting it to normal does not work!

The 02 X1i is the first ever phone I have ever had!I think it is excellent. The camera isn't that all good as you can't zoom in, but apart from that. It's brilliant.
