I had the phone for quite some time now, and recently I have noticed a white splodge or dot appearing on videos and images, is there a way to get rid of this? or should I take it to an O2 store? I didn't buy it from an O2 store so would I need to pay for a repair?

I'm on my 2nd handset now after the first died, but i really like this phone. Although the still images are not too good the video mode on high quality is supurb. MMS works fine for me. I have sent one and received one. Double texts work fine too. Just don't try and send a business card to the phone as it will destroy it.

my mms is now sorted but only after I got a 3rd phone.
I was in the 02 shop for an 1.30 mins as those idiots try to sort out my mms. I tried explaining to them the settings are fine as I ould recieve messages and send them (just no was recieveing them). They tried everything possible as they never wanted to give me another phone however in the end I got one.

Has anyone downloaded any videos. I have tried 2 download 2 clips and both said "error file to large or avaliable memory"
These were small clips so shouldnt have said that. I called 02 technical support and they said video downloading wont work as they service isnt ready for the X3 yet

You can only receive files from other phones via infra-red. I think you can take files off the phone as well if you connect it to a computer.
For me I see nothing wrong with the phone, I like it and kept it, I had absolutely no problems with it like most people. I don't really mind the camera part of the phone, all I care most is the MP3 playback than anything else. Also, £200 is a really good price for a phone with the X3s features.
Dave, you gotta understand that while you were sorely disappointed with this phone, others may absolutely love it, it's just a matter of taste. And would £200 get you one of those new phones you are talking about?

Make sure you have a new sim card, some older sim cards run on a different voltage so not all features are available.
The X3 *should* have IR, I must admit I didn't try it though.
I'm really suprised you guys don't return your phones........ sounds like the more you play with it the more bugs there are......
Look at the new phones that are due to be released, the sharp 902 has a 2MP camera, with auto focus and a 2x OPTICAL zoom..... no comparison really is there?

Do any O2 X3 users have problems receiving double text messages? My X3 deletes some of the middle and cuts off the end of double texts I receive.. Is it just my faulty handset?

JC, an update - have just spoken to customer services on the phone (hate to think how much it cost). Anyway, got through to a real person who said my sim card is too old to cope with the new features, did some magic trick at her end, & a little while later I was online! I am upgrading from a Nokia 3210. Hope this helps & many thanks for your advice Lee.
Btw customer service number I used was 08705 678 678
