You have the same problem I did. You can try the factory reset, but it didn't work with mine.
I sent mine back.
It seems when the phone loses connection part way through a transfer it cocks it up. Removing the battery made no difference to me.

I was wondering if there was any way of resetting the phone internal software just like resetting the bios of a pc back to defaults by taking the battery out or using the jumper switch.

Stephen, the phone is dead whilst any sim card is in but turns on when there is no sim card inserted but then you cannot do anything.

Dave,
What have Benq said upto now? - bet they are not impressed if O2s UI and firmware is making the phone CAmera not perform as well as it should

Owen.
Mine went bust using the USB, part way through trying to connect the phone hung. I took the battery out, tried other sim cards etc, but it would not switch on with a sim in, but it would without.
Is this another "bug"?
Stephen, get those photo's on your 'puter and share them about! :)

The photo's do look ok on the phone screen. Sitk em on a PC and they are **** at VGA and above.
Whats the point in having A MP camera phone if you don't stick em on your PC?

Owen, is it completely dead or did it come back on after turn off / battery taken out??
As for the pics i have taken loads yesterday and all look good on the phone - you just have to point and wait till it ajusts (focuses) you cant just whip it out like my canon Ixus 500 and shoot good pics - will transfer them to pc and see what they are really like later!

New Info!! The phone will turn on without a sim card in. Useful! I tried another sim card and that does not work either. I tried my original sim back in my old phone and it works fine.

Mine has broke! Noooo. At least i know what caused it. I was transferring my phone book from my old phone via infra red. The connection got cut and the x3 crashed. The screen went blank and that was that. Oh yeah. I got the phone about 1 hour ago!! :( Camera was really good as well so i thought i had a good one

Simon, amil me a few from your top setting them and I'll post them on the internet. If you can really get 7610 quality pictures then there must be faulty phones out there that some of us have had the misfortune to recieve.
As of yet though I haven't seen one even half decent photo from either VGA or MP settings from that phone.

I have had my o2 x3 for a week how, had no probs so far.
People keep saying that the cam is poo, but I find it quite good, in normal size setting just like another cam phone, but you can resize it to VGA and up to 1.3 mega and in the highest mode looks the same as my nokia 7610, but you cant send as mms in 1.3 mega (as phone states file to big) but on the screen it looks great.
