I agree...... it's just the X3 takes worse photo's than some of the VGA phones out there..... that's where I have a problem. (And also that one of my test units just gave up completely in 3 days!)
Personally I want the phone to work, it's small, jam packed with features and has some great bits on it...... but this version is not right.

I can live with it, and if they update the firmware, all the better, I'm keeping the phone as I like it and don't mind the niggles. But I do agree that the pictures it takes is kinda pap, but thats where my digital camera comes :) only use the phone camera for some quick snaps and such.

They are the best I've seen, but compare them to the ones I have just linked to........ and to the "sample" that was on the CD. It's still not in the same league.
The thing that annoys me is I *know* that phone can take better pictures....... just something is wrong with the firmware.
Likewise the phone not remembering settings that you have defined is another *fault*, you may be able to live with them, but it still isn't right.

I have the correct settings on my phone (I think) but each time I try to send a mms a error occurs saying "Message is handled by server:> Service denied" Anyone else had this problem? And how is it fixed?

Mini SD adapters £5 from Expansys.
And everyone please not a 6-1 card reader from E-bay will not work with a mini sd card unless you buy a mini Sd to SD convertor card. (These come free from various shops when you buy a mini sd.)
Or £20 for a 64MB card plus adapter free.

Hell even the SE K700 with interpolation on its VGA module gives better photo's.
So there are 5 better phones already!
One of my test units packed up after 3 days........ people can't get MMS, GPRS or the camera working properly.......
If it really is so great and really is finished, answer me this question.......... why haven't BenQ released it yet?

The phone is a bag of **** and you are just happy to accept it.
The camera is NOT right, on ANY resolution........ if you think you can take good pictures with it Ben, prove it, mail me one and I'll post it so everyone can see it, then I'll post a photo from a Siemens S65 with a 1.3MP camera........ and then tell me that the X3 is working properly!
Come on... TAKE YOUR BEST PHOTOS WITH AN X3 AND MAIL ME THEM.......... I'll SHOW YOU HOW BAD THE CAMERA IS!

I only bought the phone today after searching far and wide in various cities and towns (Liverpool, Manchester, Congleton, Birmingham) and finally by luck got it in Stoke-on-trent, went into every phone store in the potteries and nothing, then went over to argos and they had 4 available! yay, so bought one :).
So far, I like the phone, sure it doesn't give excellent quality pictures when it's set to 1280x960 size but it does give excellent ones when it is smaller size. What I don't like is the way you need to get an adaptor to put MP3s onto the MiniSD card, but what? it's not that expensive, nor are card readers. I see no problem with the phone and going to keep it. If you want quality pictures, get a damn camera. If you can make and bring out a better phone without problems, then be my guest. If you are sorely disappointed by the phone, get a refund, buy another phone and shut up.

gt dis fone today its awsome , wat is the best size to put video nd camra on to gt best quality and does ne 1 no wer u can get good cheap mini sd cards n dat fing u nead aswel (reader)
