This phone has caused me no end of problems since i got it in sept 04. it keeps turning itself off, and now i cant access any of my media files, and i cant even send a text as it say "space full". i wish i hadnt even bothered getting it as my free upgrade. i know i certainly wouldnt part with any money for it, and never will i have an O2 phone again!

thanks for the advice ste and al, i've spoken to argos who've said if i take it back they MIGHT send it away for repair if i tell them EXACTLY what time and EXACTLY what day i bought it. emailed o2 however i've yet to receive a reply-no surprise there really....

Anyone (nick maybe?) know where I can get a totally clear carry case for my x3? Its such a good lookin phone I want to be able to see it but also want protection if I drop is as I most probably will. Absolutely love the phone I think its great. No problems with it so far now I know how to use it. One single niggle though is why not put blue tooth on it when lesser spec/priced phones have it? Oh well.

Hey does anyone know how to transfer photos from the phone to the computer via handset manager? I can transfer the address book and messages but no luck on the pictures. Is it because I have over 100 pics to transfer (too many?) or do I need a sd card reader? Thanks

help plz .. i kno some of u peepz hav found out how 2 get mp3 onto yr fone .. but I DONT GET IT ! ... i hav a memory card allready wat else do i need ?

Ive had my X3 for a couple of weeks now, and have to say that, overall, it is a reasonable phone. It takes OK quality pictures, OK quality videos, the mp3 player is better quality than my dedicated mp3 player! it all seems to work OK overall. The one major problem I have had is charging it. Using the charger that came with the phone it seems to charge for about 4 hours, then the battery icon says that the battery is empty, if I take the charger out the icon shows full but the phone dies after about 24 hours. However, charging it through the USB cable on my PC for a few hours seems to do the trick and it will last all week so I think it may be a problem with the charger. If I could be bothered I would consider sending the whole lot back but I can live with the few problems I have had - the occasional freeze and resets, but these have only ever hapened once each... overall I like the phone, but I think its firmware could be better. I read somehere that it is possible to convert movies and play them on a phone, could someone provide a tutorial or links to software, please...

And, whoever it was who said they/their friends got the x3 for £129. Stop talking bollocks and see this page, It quite clearly reads "Was £199, now, £169"

Kyla. Good points and well made. I can accept constructive critiscm, which is what you have given me. I cannot accept, however the people that say "Fuck off" or "go away" in reply to my posts.

Ed, and unknown who asked about me having some good pictures. I do. When I have some spare time I will post what I think are my best photos. You do have to keep your hand extremely steady to get even close to a proper shot.

I know it could be better, but the ones that are better are into the £300's - £400's, which I, and not a big a percentage of the general public would not be prepared to pay!

In general, the phone is good. I admit that some settings don't save, for example last taken photo settings, or silent status. I admit that there are bugs in this phone which could be sorted with a little more time, but that does not mean that it was rushed.

Think about all the programming that goes into making a clean OS. Would any of you be able to create software in 3 months, including GPRS and MMS, camera, mp3, midi drivers? I think not.

Laugh your arse off about what? The fact that MY OPINION, which we all have a right to view, says that the camera is good for a camera phone? And I think I am right in saying that whoever posts a message and doesn't even leave a name is kinda silly?

With free calltime I presume, or the fact that your "friend" is lying to you? As Kyla kindly posted that it is £169. Which is eactly why I said I haven't seen it lower than £150. I very much doubt the o2 shop will allow they're phones to sell for that much under the price that the o2 shop is knocking them out for. I want PROOF that you or your friend has managed to get a x3 for £129.

I meant that the people who post in here saying "Its good" or "Its Crap, dont buy it" without giving a full answer WHY they think what they think! And the people that dont read the rules and put their entire post in CAPITALS (See the "Please read before posting section - "No ALL CAPS, they don't make you look clever")

So, rant over, and please, after this post, can we keep it clean please lads? And can nobody post without reading first?

If I am not mistaken I have posted about 3 times the answers to the "IR Not being able to send" and the "How do I get MP3's onto my phone"

So, please read through the pages before asking! It has been mentioned so many times. And as well, this forum regards the X3. Not places in which you can get free ringtones! For those sorts of questions see a forum which regards free ringtones! Is it just me or is everyone a little peeved with this forum recently? Could I thank the moderators which I know are here, for deleting some irrevelent posts, which I thank you all for. So, lets keep this forum clean!

FYI I will return every now and again to check up, and tomorrow or Monday I will post some photos that I have taken which I consider to be of a high quality. I think, as I have said before, that it all boils down to the phones we all had previous to the x3. I had the T610, so you can see why I am pleased with the camera, no?

And I'm raving now, so i'll shut up.

Unknown..I have looked on THE LINK and they are selling them at 169.99 on O2 Pay as you go and 279.99 Sim free...so i'm not sure what Link your looking at.

Nick...WE are all entitled to our opinion, and YOU need to chill.
I am on my second X3 and so far so good, my opinion of the camera is that it is crap. It is blurry and the indoor mode and flash are as usless as a chocolate fire guard. But then I didn't buy it for the camera, I already have 2 cameras designed for the job.

MY X3 does NOT save it's settings. The MP3 adapter should have been included with the phone, since it's cost is only a few pounds. One message tone? A choice would have been nice.
My battery will last if i'm luck 48hrs, thats it I don't use it AT ALL. To me that pretty poor.

As for Littlewoods stopping selling the X3, a friend tried ordering one and was told they were out of stock. He then asked when they would be back in stock, and was told they would not be re-stocking them.
Do not assume people on here are all lying, just because you don't like what you read.

Yes they would as would any other company, it's all about sales figures and competing with others that are releasing a phone at the same time.
If they think they can steal customers from another company due to release a phone, then YES they will.

This phone is a nice phone, but does have it's short comming, short commings that could have been ammended, had they taken the time.

My first phone stopped working within 24hr of me having it. I have had this phone 3 months now and have had no problems with it. This does NOT mean others are not having problems with it, because they are. That is quiet obvious when you read forums like this and others.

hi. can anyone help...??
I bought a card reader to transfer mp3's onto the phone and I still have the 32mb one that comes with the phone but when I inserted the mini-sd card into the reader/writer it said the card wasnt formatted and would I like to format it but then it said it was not able to format it and it doesnt work if I say no to formatting it. I want to buy a new card with higher memory but im not sure i'll be able to work it if I cant even get this one working :-S
