I've had my X3 for about 2 months now and I'm just starting to see problems. I can't download 3gp videos-I get a message saying file too large for avialable memory. There are also parts missing from the connection settings menu in Tools. Does anyone know of any way to solve these problem otherwise I'm going to have to take it to the O2 shop.

Has anyone got mobile web working on the o2 x3? Has anyone got a java application that can access the web working? Calling o2 on several occasions led to them saying this was not possible.

To anyone having difficulty with getting MP3s to play on this phone:

If you look at the directory structure on the memory card which came free with your phone I believe, among others it has a folder named 'music'. All of your MP3s must be in this folder or they will not be listed. That is to say that when you get a larger card you will need to either create this folder or copy the directory structure accross.

Other limitations are that filenames must be below 64 characters in length including file extension (61 characters + .mp3). If you fail to ensure this the MP3 will be listed, but will not play.

None of this is listed in the manual for this phone, which I personally think is appauling, but there you go. Something I haven't sussed out yet though is how to get or make a standard headphone adaptor for this phone. Anyone?

you can buy a card reader from PC World, its £9.99 and does the job very well. As for the adaptor, i think PC World sells them, but don't know how much, i got mine in the O2 Shop for about £5...

Got mine yesterday and it is brilliant! Picture quality is superb as well as the sound. People keep saying the camera cant record for very long but if you dont want to send it to anyone you set it up on CIF in the options and it records for much longer, and in better quality.
Where's the best place to get the adapter and reader from?

Got my new phone! (X3) and i love it! its excellent! mp3's and videos all work great! video quality is excellent, so is sound quality. Also like the fact that u can have mp3s as ur ringtones! (very cool)
To get the mp3s and videos to your phone, all you have to do is get a mini sd card adapter, this is about £5 from o2. then you have to get an sd card reader... i got mine from PC World in the camera section... it was only £9.99 and does the job great. When you get home, all you have to do is turn off ur phone, take out the mini sd card, plug it into the sd card adaptor, and then plug this into the sd card reader. The reader connects to your compter via --->

---> the usb socket. The computer recognises the memory card as a removable mass storage device. All you have to do, is go into "My Computer" click on the removable drive (Drive E on my computer) and then you have a choice of folders of where you want to save things. So if you wanted to transfer an mp3, all you do, is find it on your computer, copy it, and paste it into the "MP3" file on the memory card. Then when you have done this --->

---> put the memory card back into the phone, turn it all on, go into the mp3 player and go "Options" - "Edit Playlist" and select the songs you want to play. If not, just select "View All Files" on the mp3 player, and you can see all of your music! Ta da! (soz its so long, but i hope it helps) any questions, just ask!

Got my phone back today after 7 days in the workshop and I can send MMS now and the ring volume is back to normal.

Problem is though it keeps telling me my sim card has no space and i have no idea what this means... The phone book is nowhere near full and I have no texts or photos so fuck knows :/
