Ahahaha!!! Jackpot! What was I saying last night? The number port went across fine, but now I can't send any texts. I could send them before the number transfer. I can receive them, and send and receive MMS, but no text!
Useless.

I have Moby - Extreme Ways as my ringtone currently.
And also the Benny Hill theme tune, to piss my friends off in the car. :o)
No probs with the phone yet. My old Orange number ports over tomorrow, we'll see how O2 handle that.
cheers,
Vaughan

I've got a theory... some people have complained about when they play video files on their phones, they just see a white screen, and hear the audio. Well this may be because the Bit Rate is too high. The maximum for any phone (i think) is 128kbps and if its any higher, i wouldn't think that it would play properly... therefore to fix this, simply convert the video file into a different format (or the same one) just with a lower bit rate, and hopefully it should solve the problem.
Well anyway thats just what i figure... don't know whether i'm talking complete crap or not, but oh well, its something to think about...

get a mini sd reader from ebay. That and the charger are about 4 or 5 times cheaper than the 02 shop! I paid 15 for a charger. then saw it on ebay for less than 4 including delivery!
Fleeced.

So, I was walking down my street 2 days ago and found an immaculate x3..Sweet. After a quick sim swap and a jaunt to buy a charger, it's working a treat.. and it's oh so fine. wap doesn't work at all though - it says network is down. Any connection details would be greatly appreciated.
Camera is duff, but LOVE the pic animator.
Ringtones - I've manually taped the first 15 secs of Dizzy Rascals first single - it's class. Also - the Doors - touch me has a fantastic intro which works well. Anybody else got any ideas for tones that work well???
Finally, can you simply take a phone back to an 02 shop to swap or is a receipt needed?

Anyone interested in card readers, ALDI are selling a 8 in one card reader which are SD compatable(USB) £9.99. I bought mine today and it works really well, i had no trouble transferring pics and video. Its the cheapest around guys, get out there and buy it. You wont find cheaper SD readers/writers anywhere else.

Khalid/others - just an update
Having got my mms working (so I thought)I was able to send the pic message back to the guy at O2 Data support that sent me it so thought everything was ok, however when I try to send a different pic it doesnt work :( yet straight after a failed send I can send the one he sent ok (wtf)!!
My Account hasd been re-provissioned (had GPRS / media messaging taken off for now) and it will be re-added their end soon incase its something to do with my account (though im certain its the phone)
As I have recently got another sim and no and tried sending mms again I can send the pic that was sent by Data Support but no other, I have been sent another handset recently so put the new sim in the new phone and was able to send mms from it (as is the way when you get a new handset - then after a few days it stops), having put the sim back in the old phone it wouldnt send - so to me its a phone issue not sim / account
Im going to keep both phones for a week and see if between myself and Data Support we can get to the bottom of it!
(BTW my job is as an IT Test analyst in financial software packages so im used to messing to see what does n doesnt work - so ill get to the bottom of it if it kills me :)
but it nearly has already!!
Its just weird that im now on 6th or 7th phone and Khalid is on his 10th and all ours have had this issue - whereas some of you havent!

Use Sorensen Squeeze to convert video files to MP4. They'll work a treat. If you want something even classier, before you convert your .avi to MP4, use VirtualDub to rotate the file - voila, widescreen movies ;)
