Had my new phone a week and it's still sending MMS messages. Am shocked. Still I will be taking it back before my 14 days are up as I want the new software version.

Bobbie, Dont 17 year olds only buy nokias:) and you dont think it worth £200, when a shity nokia can cost £150 like my girls 7250, now that is a bad camera :)

"the ring tones r a bit crappy, we will bloody rock u, ok then, im 17, not 45, i paid £199.99 and i DONT think its worth it to be honest, the flash on the camera is crap, and when its in my pocket at work , its keeps taking pics cus of the buttons on the buttons on the side, :@ "
Surely you could simply put your own ringtones on and the taking pictures in your pocket thing, I never had such a problem, maybe you should stop putting it in your pocket on its side so the walls of your pocket doesn't press the buttons :p

So perhaps somebody that claims to be playing MP3 files can provide some genuine help by posting *detailed" instructions of how they have managed to do this.
Setan
Choose MP3, Options and select edit play list. Press ok to add a tick against the relevant track and press DONE. You can then see and scroll, play the MP3 you have a tick against.
Hope that helps

Setan_Merah:
The mp3 encoder settings I have used is the following:
Bitrate = 80kbps (I've heard that anythign lower won't work but I havent tested the upper limit.)
Mode = Joint-Stereo
Version = MPEG I (don't think it matters much this one.)
Sample rate = Auto (comes out as 44.1khz in my case.)
None of the extra settings such as marking the file as Original/Copyright/Private were enabled.
Hope this helps.

MP3 playing does not seem to work.
Some people around here are quite patronizing regarding this, but O2 is to blame since the manual is a complete disgrace.
What apparently you need;
-MiniSD to SD converter (this item is included with most new MiniSD cards, so in fact you are upgrading your memory in any case).
-Card reader/writer capable of handling SD cards (there are a few that can already read MiniSD cards directly, so by now the adpater may be not needed anymore).
-Computer to do the transfer (that is right, you can't tranfer MP3 files to the phone using the provided USB cable. Nice one O2!).
Is that all? No, of course. You can't just drag and drop to the card as the manual falsely says. If you check the original card that came with your phone you will notice 4 folders or directories:
-Image
-Java
-Music
-Video
I think only one person has mentioned this, but some of the people that get so irate have failed to mention this "little" detail.
So in the new card create the folders as above and drop your files in the "Music" directory. At this stage you should finally been able to see the music files in the phone.
Will they play? Not in my case. I can see them, I can select them, I press "ok" while the name of the file is displayed and absolutely nothing happens.
I changed the MP3 files bit rate from 192 to 64 and still they don't play.
So perhaps somebody that claims to be playing MP3 files can provide some genuine help by posting *detailed" instructions of how they have managed to do this.
When so many people are confussed the crappy manual and even crappier technical support of O2 are to blame, not the people that falsely think such a consumer device will be "user friendly"...
