Truesay Stephen. Only reason I want the new one is for the MMS to work all the time. I know the one I bought today will stop sending MMS messages by Monday at the latest.

Chasey - well im hoping it solves my mms problem out, it sends fine for 1st week, then stops (although the phone says sent, it is not, and my credit doesnt drop etc) and before anyone asks, the settings are fine, ive, downloaded them again myself, had O2 data support send them, and ive also manually checked everything against the O2 website for manually entering them!
Shauns new one appears to be ok!
And this is my 3rd one, soon to be 4th one - arghhhhh!

tbh why bother with the new software ,ooh i here you say :) its the same camera no diff, just saves your settings, thats all.. my camera is vg,

I bought my last X3 from the link. Both were the old software versions and both went back. I bought a new one today from O2 but it's the old version. I took my last one back to the Link on Monday and aint had a phone. I really need one so bought a X3 today ready to take it back in 5 days time. (I KNOW THIS ONE WILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS AS THE PREVIOUS 8).
Shop I went to today had 13 in stock but all old versions!!!
When I asked a guy in the Link about new software he said if it's only just been released in O2 shops they wont have them in for couple of months.

Out of interest has anyone purchased a phone from another retailer that has the new firmware loaded i.e. The Link, CF Warehouse etc
My local O2 shop has X3s in stock delivered over a month and a half ago - other retailers may not sit on stock like O2 appear to!!

Assasin - I know its got its probs and you will have seen from all my posts my X3 has had loads of probs (im on my3rd now) its not the manufacturers fault (Benq) the are a very good company offering very high quality products (TFT monitors, Mp3 players, Projectors etc) as sold by www.scan.com etc
Surprised you went for the Samsung E600 - it may work, but its defo not a better phone and no were near as good, its also v plasticky and feels cheap (And its no longer made so im told - by a mate in samsung)
Btw - how much you want for the 128mb card?

i got mine from argos for £200 on pay as you go but u can get it in link and most other phone shops! its also on O2s web site www.o2.co.uk

i have had the O2 X3 for bout 3 months now n i found it bril it got gr8 picture quality, only criticism is that the video time cud do with been a bit longer! n who ever asked about a sd adapter? well you can transfer pictures using the usb cable and the software provided! but to transfer mp3 files you need to have an adapter yes that plugs into the sd slot on the front of ur pc. if u dont hav the slot on ur pc u need to purchase a sd adapter and a media reader! i think you can get them in most phone shops and definately O2 phone shops!

i have finally given up of the thing, i have thrown both mine and my daughters in the garbage and i have replaced them with the samsung e600. i knew i should have stuck to a decent manufacturer.

tim, the phone is good m8 well i think so, all works ok and camera is good, video is one of the best, if not the best..ring tones are crap this is my second phone , it real is hit and miss m8 , you get a good one or a bad one :)

got palmed off with this phone coz my Samsung D410 upgrade went loopy after 2 months and they couldnt replace it.
so Cs at 02 persuaded me to take this phone for free, ive tried changing it bu they aint having any of it, even when i said i was gonna go elsewhere!
but i have to say my phone seems to be working ok, it has the nigles everyone else is sayin like message tone door bell, pic quality is OK, not 1.3 and not as clear as the samsung same with the video, but i can live with that coz i basically have to unless i go to another network.
if i have any probs in the next week or so i will let you know
