Hey thanks chris. Does it have to be a certain size etc? Could 3-4 minute long music video? Also ive tried to put on a music video before and it wouldnt let me through the data cable handset manager. It said something about download only and when i tried to transfer it, it said somethin like this file is not allowed to be transfered. Can u help?

Hi. Just wondered could someone tell me whether it is possible to actually put videos for example music videos on your phone / memory card without buying one of those converter type things that you need for mp3's? Is it possible to do via the data cable. Thanks and plz reply someone!!

I'm having a problem and looking back over the pages it seems others are too. How the hell do you download videos??? I've managed to get one very short one of a penguin falling into ice but all the others come back with some sort of error message like "File size too large for available memory" which is rubbish considering some that I've tried are only 200kb and my phone is set to default to the memory card so I don't get it. Called o2 and they don't have a clue but then what's new about that? If anybody has any ideas please post something on here and help the masses!

read a couple of pages now thought id help. if you want just the sd adaptor you can get 1 from www.expansys.com click on the uk flag and then find adaptors. there only a fiver

the blue N means you have a media message, go to messsages the media and read from there

some 1 said the flash is useless if you put the flash on then change 2 indoor mode the flash works

and t9 is useless coz you cant add custom words like names of towns etc

also if you want to convert your mp3s to a smaller bitrate type in mp3 convetor on google and download it, then change the bitrate to 96,m this will allow more mp3 to be added onto sd card.

question of my own does any 1 no where 2 download truetones via usb lead for free and mini video clips.

also has any 1 had a problem of when you switch the fone from silent to outdoors the ringtone remains switched off and just vibrate comes on, how do i slove this

              plz help chris

Linnie - I know what u mean, found this myself over last few days (second phone now) but I found if you delete a few characters, then go to send, press the back button and save it to drafts, it lets you carry on typing and doesnt seem to think its 5 texts long when u have the same amount of text as before!! - not sure what it charges for when phone says its 5 text as im payg with 300 free tx!

Niral - not sure were you are (im north west) but all my local O2 stores have them in stock at the moment (southports 2 branches, maghull, liverpool etc) - would have thought there is an O2 shop near you that will have them in stock!!

Hi. Well i got my X3 today and from what ive seen of it i like it a lot. This is coming from someone who has had loads of phones and im currently using a 6230 on contract with this X3 as pay and go. I took pictures in the 1.3 mega pixel camera and i was pleased with the outcome. the flash light is pointless in my opinion but the pictures come out reasonabley good. The video is fantastic. I did one outside on the CIF (352x288) setting and it was just brilliant quality. No jerks and no squarey blocks i was blown away. Compared to the 6230's video this is brill. Anyway, it has lots of nifty features such as the ability to take pics closed (like the e700) and also use the external screen to display either videos or images for when certain people call. The ringtones are rubbish and why is there only one message tone - unless im looking in the wrong places. The phone looks good and very sleek and its small but a good enough size to display a good screen picture. The 262,000 colours isnt done that greatly and looks like a top end 65,000 but i dont no how the gx30, d410 screen looks so i cant really make a comparrison. But do take note that the screen is very imprsessive. Its handy also the way you dont have to remove the battery to insert your memory card as there is a specially covered slot located at the bottom of the phone.
So far ive experienced no real problems with the phone at all (touch wood) and hope i dont because its quite a smart little thing with good potential. The data cable is a bit of a beast to figure out if anyone can help me then i will be grateful. Is there anyway to put music videos onto the phone from your comp? I know you cant do mp3's. Anyway thats my review for so far. If i encounter anything new or have any problems i will write back. Also if your looking for a phone with ood texting - dont get this. Its ok and useable but for someone who never stops texting and is speedy its not for you. Thanks for reading and any questions just ask me! Mark

I've just had this handset and already I'm getting peed off with it. O2 themselves can't seem to activate MMS or WAP and following the instructions on their website is useless. The phone appears to be so new that they only have the instructions for the X1 - which doesn't have the same menu structure as the X3. Has anyone else had this problem?

Helena - thanks for that. Texting with the non-T( disctionary is getting easier, but I'm still intrigued about the size of text message that the X3 thinks its sending - so much so that I've sent an e-mail to the O2 help desk. I'm not stingey in the slightest - but to be charged for 5 texts when I've sent the equivalent of 2 is a but much!!!
