What are your thoughts on Oneplus 12, Iqoo 12 or vivo x100?

                Bobby, 04 Jan 2024Why is banned in Germany?Nokia... 😒💩

been using the phone now for 3days, and all i could say this phone is excellent in battery performance! i came from using my daily carry S22 Ultra and backup/work phone Realme 10 Pro+ since S22u has very bad mobile connectivity.

i no longer need to bring 2 phones when going outside. this 1+12 can easily get 9~10 hrs SoT on my normal usage also mobile connectivity is top notch.

also about the gap issues on camera frame. i don't see a gap at all in my naked eye. overall i'm happy with the performance of this phone.

it has superior camera performance than S22u, has telephoto, a battery endurance comparable to Realme 10 Pro+, also superior mobile connectivity, super fast charging that roughly takes 25~40mins to full charge same as my Realme 10 Pro+.

but for real. if you don't mind smoothness, telephoto, camera performance. 1+12 is just basically a realme 10 pro+ if without those features. both has identical UI realme vs ColorOS.

Bought my Realme 10 Pro+ for $280 for a 8gb/256gb variant while 1+12 for $890 (with region unlock) for a 16gb/1 TB variant.

Notafanboy, 01 Jan 2024You are crazy. Never recommend a chinese phone with region lockAfter the global release you can buy from Giztop.
Those guys will flash OxygenOs (global rom) and make a phone call for 5 minutes to remove region lock on youre phone.
And very important, the price will be normal, not robbery, violation of your wallet, like they do in your country if you live in Europa or Usa.

It's not sold in Germany only because our 🇫🇮Finnish Nokia💩 just can't make a deal on patent costs with Oppo/OnePlus/Realme which made them quit your market. Just buy OnePlus from Amazon Netherlands without extra tax/customs and Amazon Netherlands smartphones are almost every time cheaper compared to Amazon Germany 👍🏻

Notafanboy, 01 Jan 2024You know that chinese have old battery li-po. While Samsung... moreI'm copy/pasting the below from someone more knowledgeable about these types of batteries. A key importance is charge cycles. As long as the LiPo is managed correctly, then it is safe, lighter and has many more charge cycles. If the information being released by Apple and Oneplus is correct, then the Oneplus will have just over 3x as many charge cycles.

"Lithium-ion batteries are the more traditional of the two. They have been around for a long time and are widely used in laptops, smartphones, and other portable electronics. Lithium-ion batteries are made up of a graphite anode, a lithium cobalt oxide cathode, and an electrolyte that allows ions to move between the anode and cathode.

On the other hand, lithium-polymer batteries are a more recent development. They are often used in drones, RC cars, and other high-performance applications. Lithium-polymer batteries are made up of a polymer electrolyte instead of a liquid electrolyte, which allows for greater flexibility in shape and size.

So, which one is better? Well, it really depends on what you need it for.

Lithium-ion batteries are generally more energy-dense, which means they can hold more energy in the same amount of space. They are also more stable and less prone to swelling or catching fire. However, they are typically heavier and have a shorter lifespan compared to lithium-polymer batteries.

Lithium-polymer batteries, on the other hand, are more flexible and can be made into various shapes and sizes, making them ideal for unconventional applications. They are also lighter and have a longer lifespan compared to lithium-ion batteries. However, they are more prone to swelling and catching fire if not properly handled."

"OnePlus says the battery will retain 80% of its capacity after as many as 1,600 charging cycles."

"According to Apple, a normal lithium-ion battery should have 80% of its original capacity after 500 charge cycles."

You cannot expect the charger to charge from 0-100% at full wattage! That will deteriorate battery life! Thus, depending on the state of your battery, its temperature, capacity and % full, the embedded chip in the charger is programmed to ramp up or slow down toward maximum battery capacity. Got it?
