Gab42, 22 Dec 2024Good afternoon. Is really good, battery holds up day by day... moreI saw Marques Brownlee making this argument against OnePlus comparing with Apple 6 - 7 yrs or some crap, he's a BS.
and Unfortunately, this kind of BS can make a lot of money nowadays on youtube.

Gab42, 22 Dec 2024Good afternoon. Is really good, battery holds up day by day... moreHow much does it consume battery when you wake up?
I have a phone that consumes 10 % without doing anything (wifi, data off) while I had another phone that consumes only 3 % or less.

I have a phone that consumes almost 10 % without doing anything (data off, wifi off) & it's pissing me off.

Anonymous, 22 Dec 2024How is it? Good afternoon. Is really good, battery holds up day by day usage cameras are good too, for the lenses. Very smooth and no bloatware. Honestly i feel like having a Pixel phone just with more costumisations. I like it. Just i need to get a case for it because it's very slippery due to it's back. Just now i tested it with very very minimal usage without social medias last i charged it 1 day and 23 hours ago still having 43% battery even tho yesterday i used the camera kinda lot. I really like/love the device otherwise. Came with few extra accessories. Charging is fast and can last 2-3 days if not hanging on social media sites a lot or barely. Still i'm testing it. With heavy usage i'm sure wont last more than a day or from morning till afternoon. :)

i thought of buying the device, but then i found out there are plenty of reports of broken pixels on Oneplus 12. they look like dark blue spots near the screen edges. there are several topics on that on oneplus community site, as well as reddit.

i am curious how widespread is the problem?

Can anyone from you confirm that this (the 12 R)comes with a charger in the box withitn the EU? Thing is...if i have to buy a seperate charger that would set me back nearly 60 euros!!

Aristeidis, 19 Nov 2024Only 4 years of security support and worse only 3 years of ... moreI feel like that's more than enough these days. Most of the people change phones in that period, so I don't see that as a big deal. Also, there will probably be custom ROM's for this phone if you really, really need that new version of android. If you are crazy enough to pay double the price for S24 Ultra and have that gimmicky 7 years of support, then go for it. Your battery or whole phone will probably die sooner than that. I would rather spend that amount on something else.

Aristeidis, 19 Nov 2024Only 4 years of security support and worse only 3 years of ... moreIt's actually 4 years of android updates and 5 years of security updates.

Only 4 years of security support and worse only 3 years of Android updates. Oneplus 12 support is garbage 👎

Anonymous, 14 Nov 2024does it mean good to keep it between that range?Correct, since it's a more correct indicator of battery health.

My OnePlus 11, almost 2 yrs.old still has a battery health of 96%.

Anonymous, 14 Nov 20241. flash what? New a Rom? If yes, then yes. But as some c... more I mean flashing the same ROM via fastboot vs. a factory reset. Which is better?

                                    Thanks.

But as some commented, there won't be too many bloats as other brands; however, there are still some OEM/google craps.
The best way would be to flash a an AOSP ROM (as there is no OEM crap inside), with sacrifice of some convenience - though unfortunately, there aren't any official custom ROM for this device.
I think you should be safer sticking with factory reset.

                                      2. Search around github. There seems to be some around.

I don't like to see battery low as 50 %
They should increase the battery size to 10,000 then I can keep it at 50 % :)
