Just to let you know that it isn't that way.
In fact, I currently use a Mediatek MT6737 phone (don't tell me it's weak, please lol) that I bought for $70.
However, I did notice -- through your comments on GSMA -- that you have something against Samsung because you always bring up "Samsung".
My philosophy is simple : Everyone should get the phone that suits them and forget about the endless comparisons and debates (Apple is better than Samsung, Samsung copies from Xiaomi, Touchwiz is laggy, Apple is overpriced, OnePlus devices are better and cheaper etc).
The truth is that once a phone pleases the end-user, all these things become very irrelevant.
And I don't watch Fifty Shades movies nor read their books (I didn't see the point of such movie in its summary).

Scamsung offers nothing just overpriced products with bare updates.
Apple sticker cost 60% of the phone price.
If making apple X cost 369 dollars rougly 307 euro per piece and is sold for 1300 then 993 euros which is like 60 or 65% goes to apple sticker. Because apple expenses are crap as always. They rather steal technology than research something own. Use others like Samsung for screens. Grab 4k recording from Sony etc.
And we lived in era where everybody sponsor their favorite brand.
If i can say for my self apple saw my money just once and it was for last and i am very happy with that conclusion.
But to be honest even once is more lucky than Samsung which i never bought anything from them.
I dislike to pay for a sticker i like to pay for an exceptional quality for a reasonable price. Thus i have Moto X4 and before i had Lenovo Vibeshot for 2 and half years which i sold in like a brand new condition.
I prefer chinese brands for their exceptional quality because anything is made by foxcon Apple Samsung Sony Xiaomi Nokia etc. Just the sticker is different.

Apple sells its name, and Oppo (Huawei as well) are also starting to sell theirs.
And please, don't bring up Samsung! Because this phone is clearly more expensive than any Samsung on the market right now.

At least xiaomi offers excellent quality for a low price.
Other companies just take money and offer a midranger for a price of flagship.
Without xiaomi Laggple and Scamsung would cost even 200-300 bucks more.
Man please do understand that means something cost 1000 doesnt mean it must been a quality product. Look at Note 7 or Iphone 6 and many else.

If you can charge your phone in 35 mins wireless charger is really not needed.
Jack was the technology of the past in future is not needed.
Water resistance is for Tarzans living in rainforest others dont need that at all.
And SD card slot??? OMG 512GB is more than enough WTF you want.
You have no chance to fill that space.

it's not only because of some Lamborghini logo they addes the extra 700 euro !! if you read the specifications closely you will notice there is different in
internal memory :
256 Gb VS 500 Gb
and also
Fast battery charging :
( VOOC Flash Charge 5V/4A ) VS ( 100% in 35 min (SuperVOOC Flash Charge 5V/10A 50W )
although i don't think it deserves or value that much to add the 700 euro !!
i was excited for this but after i saw the prices i changed my mind and i'm going for S9+
not to motion waiting 2 months from now !
