The battery doesn't matter, it depends on the efficiency of the chipset, GPU, and camera motor. If all those are really efficient, then the battery will last longer than what you thought

Seems like a missed opportunity going with a sub 3000 Mah battery. It's already thick - people who are buying this are not necessarily concerned with form factor. Why not just make it a tad thicker but with better capacity?

Soo nice that it doesn't have a NSA-spy-Cam on the back like all the other phones availible!

I am totally blown away by this cameraphone. It is definitely a game changer! Man I've been waiting for something like this for a long time.
                  1. In terms of design, I would give it 10 out of 10.
                  2. In terms of specs, 10 out of 10 again.
                  3. In terms of camera, I'd give it 8 out of 10.
                  4. In terms of battery, I would give it 7 out of 10.
I welcome changes in the second generation.
Wish this phone had a Xenon flash alongside the LED flash, 4K recording at 30fps, ISO 50-6400, Optical Image and video stabilization and a removable battery of over 3000 mAh capacity then it would have been the perfect and the ultimate gadget for me. Please Panasonic, I hope you are listening to me.

This is definitely going to be the ultimate game changer, a lot of people were waiting for this type of phone. It's not gonna be cheap though, I'm speculating around $1000, maybe more.

4k 15 fps? Oh no, that's not the way how you should do it! Processor itself supports 30fps, Qualcomm should provide appropriate software support for this device.

Those who are rejecting the phone because of the lack of a flash are missing the point that with this level of lens light gathering ability you simply won't need it. This is the first phone ever with a real lens, and you should base your flash expectations on the camera world, not the phone world. Phone users are used to snapping through a pinhole. I've used a Lumix MFT camera for years (GF1,GX1,&GM1) even in candle light, and have needed the flash exactly zero times. I admit it's still nice to have for special effects, but it isn't needed.

Perhaps the optical zooming is handled by the large sensors like Nokia 808. But it is just incomplete without a proper xenon flash.

For a camera smart phone to be ruling the roost. I think it should have xenon flash for still images and double led flash for capturing video. Screen size should be 5 inch's. Dual sim support and 3000 may battery. S4 zoom and k zoom did not take off mainly because neither of these has led flash for video capturing. U can't shoot video with these camera phone under low light conditions. Panasonic lumix will meet the same fate. It is priceeeey much much more expensive than s4 zoom and k zoom.

It's definitely gonna be a big flop. No xenon flash no optical zoom and almost 3 times more expensive than k zoom. Battery will also let u down.

if it had a optical zoom it would be thicker and it wasn't a phone any more.with 1 inch sensor it's mostly for photography so don't look at it just the way you look at galaxy models.

This device is too over priced. Doesn't seem worth buying. A bid sensor on a 20mp is not enough coupled with no xenon flash. A big letdown. Like all other Panasonic devices this is again a flop show. Seems that company has used all the hardware to make this handset. No use if no optical zoom. Wake up panasonic! And better luck next time.
