bakzh0, 07 Nov 2013I don't understand how exacly the endurance rating calculat... moreThey calculated the endurance rating by a use of 1h talk, 1h browsing and 1h video each day. The rest of the day on standby. The note 3 has better standby time compared to the g2.

Mike, 07 Nov 2013Somebody explain to me how under the camera test, they show... moreThe aperture of a lens determines its light gathering power and is NOT related to its field-of-view.
The f-number of a lens can be thought of as its normalised aperture, that is it is the actual aperture (strictly the diameter of the entrance pupil)divided by the focal length of the lens, but it is commonly expressed as the reciprocal of that.
The field-of view (or angle of view) relates to the size of the sensor in combination with the focal length of the lens.

I don't understand how exacly the endurance rating calculated, but I think there is something wrong.
LG G2
tt=25:01
wb=11:22
vp=11:51
er=62
Note 3
tt=18:12
wb=9:04
vp=13:32
er=75
Basicaly if tt, wb and vp are considered to be the same, then LG G2 should be a clear winner in the er, not Note 3. CMIIW.
tt=talk time
wb=web browsing
vp=video playback
er=endurance rating

Somebody explain to me how under the camera test, they show the Note 3 as having the smallest field of view, "Now let's look at the field of view. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 lens is narrowest, followed by the LG G2 and finally, the Xperia Z1 with the widest." The specs list the Note 3 as having an aperture size of f/2.2 compared to the G2's aperture size of f/2.4, doesn't that mean the Note 3's lens is wider than the G2? Or am I missing something? Or is there a lens spec somewhere I'm not seeing?

I really don´t care about brands,
but have to say that I am now used to waterproof smartphones since I bought the Sony Xperia Active two years ago, and now I can´t go back to a non-waterproof phone. The idea of being afraid to be near the water and sand on the beach or just making a simple call under heavy rain is unthinkable. Try to have a waterproof phone and you will see the freedom that you get with it. Sony is the first brand to give us flagship models with water/dustproof protection. Hurray for that!
p.s. And no! A smartphone with a waterproof case is not the same! Already tried ;-)

well.. japanese XZ1(SOL23 and SO-02f) is better than global XZ1
tailored and expanded to 32gb with IR blaster
Above all Sony is durable/waterproof than those 2 competitors. Try to dunk those two phones in to swimming pool.. I think those specs will change.:)

Anonymous, 29 Oct 201316 GB memory will last you a year with regular use, and at ... moreI'm not sure which world you're living in but the combined media and apps on my current Xperia Z1 (internal and SD Card) total 18gb - and that's with a number of games still to re-load onto it after upgrading.
For many, if not most, people, 16gb of space (around 12gb usable) is simply not enough. Why LG even considered a model with less than 32GB of storage escapes me.

AnonD-186803, 28 Oct 2013I would certainly have considered it but, in the UK, the G2... more16 GB memory will last you a year with regular use, and at least 6 months if you go wild. then USB OTG, transfer your photo gallery out and you're good to go. your aps most likely will never cross the 4 GB mark. memory is a black hole friend. you can keep paying for it, and burning through it.

AnonD-201046, 29 Oct 2013You forgot one key thing in your review. The samsung note 3... moreYour post is invalid. You are making the assumption that the majority of people in this world country hop. I understand it is frustrating to many but I would not go as far to say most.

You forgot one key thing in your review. The samsung note 3 is region locked and therefore not suitable for globe hoppers. The Sony Z1 and the LG g2 aren't region locked. Imo note 3 comes in last due to it being region locked. it's a deal breaker for most people.
