i have seen other reviews and they did not complain about the screen, they even said the screen looks good. this has to be the site to find a gripe with the display, in normal conditions no one uses a microscope to look at a screen. i find it annoying when sites demand 1080p in every single smartphone when most phones dont need it.

All I need is my G2's successor. I don't need a screen at 720p res, it's outdated. Sized at 6.0 and 245 ppi make things even getting worse. Proud to be the owner of G2, now I'm eagerly waiting for the upcoming G3. A 5.5" FHD screen made of plastic substrate (flat mode, not flexible one), very thin side bezel, 16 MP rear camera with OIS, 64 GB storage and a 4.200 mAh battery packed into 144×74×8,4 mm slim body is extremely amazing!
Now my Note 2 and S3 look so oooold. Things changed once you got the G2's KnockOn featue. It's where a miracle begins. LG all the way.

No wonder the battery lasted long, 131 nits at half brightness, as used during this testing, is very low, too low to be useable and unacceptable for a flagship level device. Further, the ppi is a disaster and acceptable only in a few countries in middle east (no offence but GSMArena readers from Pakistan and Persia areas has been the loudest opponents of Full HD phones)

AnonD-4963, 13 Dec 2013GSMarena is really nitpicking on the screen. With a screen ... moreThe display may be flexible, but the glass on top is regular Gorilla glass, which breaks as easily as usual. The curve might protect it in some sittuations, but not all.

They might look better phones with bending screens, but do we have to pay extra to buy these phones, that might be the only stumbling block releasing these phones,if the batterylife is alot longer than a normal smartphones then they might be more attractive to buyers, but will still the screens be unbreakable as this phone failed in the Drop Test on a mobile site,so replacing these screens might be more expensive than a normal smartphone

AnonD-4963, 13 Dec 2013GSMarena is really nitpicking on the screen. With a screen ... moreResolution and quality of screen on high end device like this and with best possible chipset currently available is pretty much useless. I expect better from device that is over 1000 $.
Also, Flex handled drop test worst than most of "flat" phones. Check AA drop test video

AnonD-4963, 13 Dec 2013GSMarena is really nitpicking on the screen. With a screen ... moreCoz it's quiet abnormal to see a 720p on 330 gpu. It's like a car with a huge n horsepower equipped with a standard stock wheel.

Lg doesn't has to make curved phones to show off its newly developed techs, on the other hand i think lg would rather manufacture flexible flat phones which are more trauma-resistant. I'm really looking for such feature in G3.

GSMarena is really nitpicking on the screen. With a screen size this big, you will be viewing this from a far distance and 245ppi is good enough.
Another thing GSMarena missed is the durability. This is the only smartphone apart from the the old thick Shock Proof smartphones. Check youtube videos of the drop test. This monster can really take a beating and the screen never gets scratched no matter how much you bang the phone to the floor.
Manufacturers have shown minute interest in durability and LG has really done its part in perpetuating the progress of mobile technology. All those XPerias and iPhones with their sexy body that get destroyed the moment you drop it..
