Forget about picture quality. These are camera phones, you're not going to use these for photo competitions or official wedding photos or anything - you'd use a proper camera for that. Camera phones are for taking snaps like at parties and pictures of the kids and pets etc. So I'd say more important than picture quality are things like performance of the flash and ease of use and speed of which you can get that snap. For instance I understand it takes 3 seconds between pressing button and getting a picture on the D900. Thats ridiculous!!!

Its clear from the photos and I have seen that the K800 has the best pictures. The N73 comes in second and the D900 third. You can tell the pictures of N73 and K800 are clearer then the D900 this is also obvious as the D900 has only a 3 megapixel camera, whilst the other two have a 3.2 megapixel camera, showing that the cameras should be slightly better. The colours of the N73 are a bit distorted and unrealistic. I am not defending the SE phone, but am just stating fact, as my favourite phone brand is Nokia.

Woooh! samsung d900 does not really make any effort with thier cam but still outperformed the "best" together with SE and Nokia.
Sorry guys, you already have everything with the D900 (excellent videos recording and playback, very good still picture, out of this world user interface and function, innovative and most especially the wonderful design.) Then why bother those redundant phones (nokia and SE).

wow, i can see that u people "hate" samsung... lol, dnt worry, I'll compensate for the lack of love... I saw the pic but i'm not impressed by the Samsung D900. truely, compared to my D600, its much better.. But even nokia N73 can't be compared to the Sony Ericsson K800. Nokia has overdone the colors hoping to fool amaters... But according to me, the clear winner is the K800, then the N73 n last but not the least, the D900( most classy phone)

do most of u ppl know anything about "technology", dont u see thats Sony also have the most to give in technology and they put it in their phones. Sony Ericsson made the "FIRST BLUETOOTH PHONE" and then the competitors followed. To just say it all, the best phone is the K800 out of those and even the nokia N80 cant beat it and not to mention the samsung.

do you know why the k800 has no night mode? because of the built in xenon flash. i guess k800 took the camerafone biz to a whole new level while others are stuck with those led lights. anyway, there are 8 scenes in k800. i think the twilight modes are the counterpart of the night mode in older se cam fones and the new n73 and d900. the best part is se got the best pic tech and the image stabilizer function. truly an amazing camfone. the order? k800, d900, n73.

the camera lens cover of the n73... hmmm.... looks familiar doesn't it? oh just like the se k750. oh come on nokia. no originality? well, ok. let's say they just overlooked that. then let's go to the pics that you take with the n73. uuhhh... the colors are overcompensated. come on!!! do they really want to beat se that bad that they want to let the viewers think that they produce more vibrant colors? sorry nokia but you can't fool camera lovers like me. anyway, the order would be... k800, n73 (just cz its sharper than d900.

Stephen,
I ama afraid that I´m a bit of a Nokia fan but I prefer to be a fair one.
I can answer questions 1 and 3. The exact answer to number 2 you can find by reading reivews on the net - I remember some review testing pic saving and OS times.
1) The sound quality of the speakers is quite much the same from what I have gathered, the N73 is supposed to be louder though and it has got more options like stereo and 3D sound patterns.
2) The Symbian OS is far more flexible and customizable than the standard SE OS. The main thing about Symbians are the fact that you can install applications far more advanced than Java-based games for example. Nokia Symbians also sport a fantastic web browser - maybe the best of it´s kind. The Symbian is overall slower than the the standard operation systems, though...
I would also like to add that soon there will be launched a completely black Nokia N73 Music Edition with advanced music capabilities. Oh, and the N73 is far more prettier, and has by far better features than the K800.
Do your pic, but choose wisely. I´m getting my N73 ME as soon as it´s out.
