@Pv9c
Where are you getting that ridiculous pricing from?
A quick look in plemix.com gives me this (thats exactly how it sould be):
N73 $509
K800 $425
D900 $389
For some people price might be a factor as well along with design and features.

I have just ordered a Nokia N73 after having a SE K750i for over a year. Personally I think the K800i takes slightly better pictures so purely going on pics that is my answer. However in terms of a phone the N73 wins easily. The K800i is basically a K750i with 3G and a bigger MP camera. The N73 with symbian makes it hard to compare the 2 as you can add applications and customise the N73, the K800i does what it does and that is it. I tend to keep my phones for over a year, I would be bored of the K800 after a few weeks whereas the N73 will keep up with things for a bit longer. I think the K800 is an outdated phone already but saying that it has been out for a couple of months, the N73 is relatively new so you would expect it to be a bit more advanced.

"
At the end of the day we will look into other features and design aspects before buying it."
again... the n73 its better in features, its a smartphone that means you get a nice internet browser, office application and being able to fully customize it, you can add apps and change FULLY the themes and icons.
Its Quadband, IT have EDGE, and 3G.
the screen its bigger 2.4' quality of the three phones ARE THE SAME. they all QVGA and pixels are NOT noticable in any of them.
it have 3d sound speakers.
in design d900 its the best but it features UI, sucks. no radio etc.
the k800 has the worst design of the tree, its like a big version of the k750i with no others colors than black (even though black its nice)
and you are limited to what sony ericsson gives you.
here the k790i Cost 600$, the n73 you can get it at 650$. d900 just because its THIN it cost 700$

...the picture taken using nokia n73 ( that with the close-up shot of hanging leaves ) is so vivid as compared with k800 that i doubt if that really was shot with said unit. even the sample pictures released by n93 are not that sharp. both units made use of zeiss optics if i'm not mistaken...

It really ain't that big deal if the colors aren't correct, you can always fix those with photoshop... Every one of those fones has weak
points as you can see from those pics. All of those takes enough good pics... I dont think you even need those pics at that large resolution, so you just make them smaller. Sharpness increases and also noise will decrease. Thats it! Every one has own opinions what is best but i still prefer to K800i.. Also that D900 looks very nice.. Its up to you.

You are looking at a 2048x1536 image...thats like checking a 4x6 print with a magnifying glass. When you print them on 4x6" you wont see much difference, only thing that will matter to our eyes will be the color and contrast. Thats why most people are liking the N73 pics even though it's CZ lense is not the one who is adding that color-contrast.
I would say all 3 phones has strength in different areas..if one has nice color (sometimes too much though)..then the other one has nice macro..looks more natural.
It will be foolish to say for sure which one is best among them.
At the end of the day we will look into other features and design aspects before buying it.

again nokia had a better contrast handling, you won't see any white fog in the picture, it handles strong lighting without a problem, no purple fringring. even without taking the colors into account the sharpness its just better.
the k800 took a good pictures on macro, seems like k800 only takes nice colors to close objects, wide areas the pictures have a not so nice white fog.
d900 takes blurry pictures, in colors at least outdoors performs a bit better than the k800 but the pictures are blurry, and that can't be edited in a programs like photoshop, sharpness with always be messed.

In the new comparison links, samsung d900 is indeed one of the best camera phones and comparable to N73 and k800 which both uses specialized camera/flash module and that concluded that d900 produced great photos with more details and somehow not over exposed compared to other camera phones.
The new comparison links justifies that the photos posted in gsm arena differs very much to the photos taken by the new posted links as far as samsung d900 is concern and that concludes that d900 wins on other aspects of the photos shown and loses to another aspects of the photos compared to N73 and K800.
Therefore I conclude that these 3 mobiles are the best in the market today with 3 megapixel camera modules and it is up to us which phones suites our preference.

nah, samsung colors are dull and the pictures are not so sharp... how can it be better?
and yes, firmware updates will surely improve the camera quality over the time, because its software. well in hardware nokia uses carl zeiss lens a top line manufacturer, like canon, nikon, leica.

The photos taken by D900 in this link differs to the one posted by gsm arena. All photos by d900 matches with that taken by n73 and k800 or even better.
