It lags a lot, like around 1500-2000 ms latency! that to unloaded, almost out of the box Nokia X.

I bought an X yesterday and have started hating it.
That is what you planned. You wanted people to hat android so they they switch to windows.

Is it a good phone? that is the question, and keyboard critics use specs as a way to attack anything they don't like, and it happen for every phone, so why should anyone listen to them?

Why even bother to have a look at this outdated piece of hardware?
This is an inventory clearance trick so that they can clear their trash and focus on newer hardware.
Investing in this phone would mean you don't intend to use it for too long.
Nokia seems to be using Android to clear its unsold inventories from Win Phone. Clear indication from the cheap hardware.
Even the name of the phone suggests it is an ex- model of phone, outdated in specifications.

Nok... moretotally agree with you.., used many symbians before from the era of 3660 to n8 and still using n9.... both meego & symbian are the most easy to use mobile os's and provided all the essential freedom for users, peoples really enjoyed using them...
in these days not single os come close to them in user friendliness...
android and bb10 are good but windows phone is totally useless i cant even take a windows phone in my hand for more then 5 mins cz of it's really irritating ui with uncountable limitations...
microsoft thinks users are fools that's why they are blocking all the necessary features like a file manager no downloading of files videos and mp3's directly u can't even save pdf files and reattach them in a mail, and microsoft calls it a office use os.. but still some stupids are buying wp only bcz of nokia...
i hate stephen elop like hell, he killed the 2 most beautiful things from the mobile industry which really deserved to be the best... rip. meego n symbian...

the only things that are making this phone succesfull are the here maps free navigation services, and nokia's sturdy hardware.... nothing is good about the ui and configuration it lags a lott, almost 90% of all the users who are buying this phone are using custom android launchers on it even at the nokia priority dealer shop, seems funny...
so stupid nokia. made a ui with no multitasking pane in it loll....

what will be interesting is when Nokia the finnish company is free to sell phones again. Will they partner with Jolla? Or what about a proper android phone. There are plently of people in Finland with design expertise from old nokia and not employed by M S!

They would put up with the lag, rather than try and use an interface that frustrated them every single day.
If you don't like the interface (or way something runs), no amount of high-end specs can do anything to help that - it's a dealbreaker.
People overestimate the importance of specs -way- too much.. nothing new though, the same thing's been happening in the PC world for many years.
In the same way, if people didn't like Nokia's interface on this phone (and wanted to put normal Android on it), I think they'd be crazy to purchase it. You could spend a small amount extra for a much better phone.

Cut droid version today ? Why not in 2010, 2011, 2012 ? Nokia N8 or 808 PV with better battry and a little more modern hardware = great phone. If someone say Android lag - so WP is nonfunctional, no choice for users (MS think consumers are idiots ?) - maybe after 8.1 will be better but...
Shame that Symbian is dead. What 808 lack ? Games ? Quite fast OS, best camera, good audio, true multitasking, great functional, freedom for users - more then iOS or WP and not tied with one company like Android and above-mentioned.
Anna/Belle was really nice, MeeGo was fast...it could be interesting future but Elop/MS must make place for own OS, inadequate decisions. Even if MS want kill Symbian and MeeGo why we dont see good classic phones like new version of Nokia E51, E52, N82, N95, E71/72 ? Little modern hardware, little better camera and is really many people which dont wanna sth like Nokia 203 and not any touchscreen.

Most probably not. The same reason a Nokia enthuasiast will pick this phone over other android flagship. It's not just about logic, it also involves feeling as we are human. It"s not like your life depends on the phone. Some people want a personal phone good for socializing and leave other entertaiment and multimedia on tablets or pc. So is he being unreasonable for choosing to watch movies on a 50in TV rather than a measly 6in screen flagship phone? Your choice of ipad air over android tablets is unreasonable. Why? Because it is costly and in no way better than android tablet flagships with cheaper price. Your arguments of tablet apps is is only valid 2 years ago. Nowadays the app selection is comparable for both ios and android. So you are buying the ipad air not because of logical reason, either you are seriously misinformed, an apple fan, a trend follower or maybe you are just persuaded by your daughter.
