09 July 2014
From zero to flagship killer in less than 6 months. That’s the life story of OnePlus Tech – a big chunk of which went in explanation mode. First it was their relation to Oppo, then the reasons why their debut smartphone got...

Anonymous, 13 Jul 2014I just got the invite suddenly today..... and able to order it. Good for you, but really in certain markets we don't even need invites as their local dealers have bulk stock.

Anonymous, 10 Jul 2014Good luck on getting an invite. They are harder to find tha... moreThey are playing you if you bought into their invite only claims. They are supplying it to any one ready to order in bulk. If I want I cant get it at a moments notice in atleast two countries I have last checked. Wholesale dealers already have them in stock. I am laughing my butts off at these invite schemes they are officially peddling. It is simply not the case. It is however true they are focusing on limited markets so only wholesale dealers in those markets get to order in bulk.

Who would buy a cyanogenmod phone? It's risky. Google is better. Stick with it. This isn't stable.

Anyone over here do you have any news that

OP is selecting people by looking / checking to their IP addresses and not just by filled addresses in their accounts?
so that they can roll out invites to selected users ??

Got my phone yesterday.oh boy this phone is rock solid in terms of handling and speed-wise. Camera does amazing images. I got 64 gb version. And you know what else I am happy about? It's free of bloatware. I have come from 4.7 " screen so defference is massive.this phone is quite biggish. I tell you one thing if this phone cost 400 pounds and were standing in the shop I would buy this phone without hesitation. How I think that most of the phones are overpriced.

And most people who have fast, reliable, and cheap internet connections doesn't seem to understand this reason, or they just refuse to understand because they have the alternative. I hate the no-radio build now being the standard. It s*cks when you have H, H+ and 4G signals but the transfer rate is just 0-50kbps or 0-6kB/s.

The whole idea of having to be INVITED to spend my money put me off, but, I waited and waited from mid April and just got tired of the marketing hype by OnePlus/Oppo. Delay after delay after delay, even though the Oppo Find7 has been shipping for some time. The latest snub from OnePlus was the whole yellow screen bug. First, pushing it off as "we made the screen warmer", but after many people posted photos of the entire BOTTOM of the screen being yellowish, then OnePlus said well, it's suppose to be that way, you are only seeing it at high viewing angles or some other crap. It's a DEFECT, to make matters worse, some were told if you requested an RMA, that if the next one had the same issue, you were SOL! Yep, that will build brand loyalty won't it? Sorry, I just want to go to a site, click and have it sent to me. Begging for an invitation? Forget it.

Since I own this awesome phone, I can assure you- it's much more than a marketing gimmick. I got mine on Monday, and I absolutely love it. I will admit that the size takes a lot of getting used to, and if they ever came out with a 4.7-5 inch version, same specs, I would trade this one in a heartbeat.

The phones screams in terms of performance and the features are amazing. I wouldn't trade this phone for any phone on the market. The only one that comes close is the Galaxy S5, but that phone's build quality is weak in comparison and the software is full of bloat and gimmicks. I suggest reserving judgement until you can actually hold one in your hand and use it. The phone is worth the hype.

Its too big but the 64GB is interesting still. The low price kinda defends the use of a very inferior display tech but whats harder to defend is the camera, theres something wrong with the dynamic range, this doesnt look like the Imx 214 sensor at all. White balance seems to be on the warm side and that will affect color reproduction, but its acceptable i think.

I need a new phone and dont have so very high demands to the camera but i dont think this dynamic range can pass as acceptable.
