Now i am planning to buy a... moreZ2 has best screen camera and speed..forget what people comment..its a prestigious to have a glass shiny phone than plastic... Samsung lost to sony in build quality elegance... Still camera with hdr I accept s5 beats z2.but compared google camera and s5..s5 is way far..and such a pricy phone resembles cheap chineese phone..what a shame..i spend extra bucks and went for z2...love the feel and look...it's shame that cheap Chinese brands are mocking samsung as plastic while samsung is busy mocking ipad for amoled screen...samsung ur best in software mould..but before mocking apple 🍎 look your cheaper plastic build..

Sony picture quality is much better IMO if you unlock your bootloader. Much of the digital artifacts and blurring is caused by the Bionz image processing which gets disabled when this bootloader is unlocked.

Just saw qhd samsung tv and did screen mirror z2...

Anonymous, 18 Jul 2014Do you have any links or results to show?My own shooting... I own z2...sony auto mode is good for macro and very very low light.for sunlight. Brighter environment google camera best..but unlike sony cam it's slow..not suited for motion pictures..each file is above 5 to 8 mb..sony is around 2 mb size...Google cam gives excellent result for routine shots..but weak in macro,motion and too low light...i use it for normal indoor shots and when taking still outdoor pictures.. I keep resolution maximum.. Even adjustment does great wonders

This test is hugely flawed - and it's because there's no testing comparison for the FRONT FACING CAMERA. This is arguably more important because people do more selfies for social media.

1020 beats these phones but it's still hard to justify it considering 808 PureView beats it in quality.
1020 cannot take images like below.

I have viewed the Z2's camera samples on many websites and those on GSMarena seem to be way off from the general observation.
It is as if someone with a very shaky hand took all these images.
I was disappointed when the Camera Shootout simply compared images from the review, which means that if it had any discrepancy previously then it still remains in the shootout.
Surely the other reviewers are not idiots for calling the Z2 the best android camera. (DXOmark, and many more)

S5 has the best camera between those phones but I think that the night shots taken in this review aren't taken properly as I'm sure it can perform better...
