BlackBerry Passport review: Ticket to ride

15 October 2014
Canadian manufacturer BlackBerry looks to bring its no-nonsense smartphone approach in a form factor that is…unusual, to say the least. It’s a company that's no stranger lately to being in the red for quarters on end and the Passport is yet another attempt by...

My Z10 with OS10.2 allow incognito browser; I doubt it has been removed in OS10.3.
There are some strong points not revealed in this review: Natural Sound, Paratek Antenna, Balance (separation between work and personal).
Blackberry lost the battle for consumer market, but has relevant products for business.

Jeez my comment deleted really? Why? Because I said 90%+ of the readers here NEED to be able to use their phone one-handed because their daily commute involves hanging off the side of a train to work?

            Whatever.

While it is a full QWERTY pad, it only has delete, enter, and space keys in addition, so all of your special symbols and numbers while typing are located on the bottom edge of the screen."

So you still have to use the on-screen keyboard.

I just want to highlight that I found no flaws in your review, except maybe one: you noted the the browser has no incognito mode. I believe you mean the sort of private browsing that exists in, say, Firefox. If that is indeed what you mean, then you'll be happy to know that such a mode does exist in the browsers settings menu.

Other than that, easily the most thorough and objective review I've read yet. Thanks!

AdamBoy64, 16 Oct 2014uh, what?It doesnn't even have a dot or coma. Tell me what good is the keyboard for? You can't chat, you can't write mails, you can't login to a site,, pretty much you can't do anything with it. Not to mention the keys look too small to be comfortable enough anyway. A QWERTY phone made to be used with the on-screen keyboard... Another "brilliant" idea, typical for the modern insanity.

People comments here that, the width of the phone is not acceptable. But if you compare with Z Ultra, The Width is lesser than Z Ultra and Z Ultra is ~5cm taller than this.

Yet another idiocracy phone that doesn't make sense (Seemingly it's different, but then you notice the details that make it yet another device for people with no brain). They put a qwerty and then made it useless by putting only 3 rows and "forgetting" the number keys.
Of course, the non-removable battery is the mandatory "premium" "feature".

The BlackBerry 10 browser is the fastest browser among all the major mobile operating systems. I do not know how GSM Arena came to a different conclusion.
