Meizu MX4 Pro review: Sharpened up

Pro in a smartphone’s name implies bigger and better – so much so that it’s even been abused to fool the unsuspecting. Meizu did not resort to such trickery though and their MX4 Pro takes things up more than just a notch from the stock version...

      Any hint what to do? Sometimes wlan AND bluetooth don't work at all. While searching, phone is getting hot an hotter. Sometimes wlan and bluetooth start working correctly (often after battery was empty) Very frustrating, although a great phone .....

        Do Not Buy Meizu , it is impossible to fix it if it gets broken. You have to send it to china for repair. boot loader locked. virtually no help from meizu .

              The phone is hard bugged on radio stack (lte & 3g & gsm) and isn't really well integrated for non chinese users (meizu market).
              It is also quite hot.
              Too bad, it would have made a great phone (photo, fingerprint, screen, battery )
              Advice : to be reconsidered on next hard or soft release

                    Awesome phone with superb camera. In two weaks since I got the phone recived 2 updates (my last phone LG got updated one (1) time in 2 years - thats why I will never buy anything from LG ever again), love the fingerprint scaner and flyme. I use it on powersave mode and you dont even notice the preformace drops except in games which I don play often and it lasts me 2 and 1/2 days moderate use with email,calls,shoping and browsing. Gps is way better and faster than any other phone I have used. I use it as an e-book reader and the screen looks like you are reading from a peace of printed paper - crystal clear. I just wish I bought a 32 gb version instead 16.

                        meizu mx4 pro is too pro went playing music,movie or game loud sound to tiny. meizu say the system is restricted to prevent breaking sound. lol! frist time buying phone like this too pro.

                              hahaha!!! Samsung in front and Apple at the back. What a combination. If I buy this phone is a package. I have Sammy and I have my Apple too.

                                  AnonD-333110, 14 Jan 2015I thought the new Iphone is Meizu MX3.....MX2 that was released back in 2012. MX3 is just a larger version of it in terms of design.

                                  And MX3 vs MX4. Almost no difference, except those 4 holes and that backcover is now removable. And you can see stripes were there in MX3 as well. They are just longer now because sides are wider as backcover is removable. Other than that no difference. Looks almost identical to MX3 and MX2. So who's copy who.

                                    So far the only phablets with reasonable availability & small footprint, SD card slot, removable battery & all the 'bells & whistles' are the Note4 and the upcoming Asus Zenfone2.
                                    No wonder Samsung are ahead!
                                    How difficult can it be for these other OEMs to figure this out?!
                                    Anyone can produce a device that just looks nice. We need more choices from manufacturers making decisions based on usage practicality & innovation.
