Anonymous, 14 Jan 2015I took confidential as top secret should not be accessible ... moreYou can always encrypt your SD card if that's a concern. I been using Android for some time and I believe (not sure) that from jellybean this can be done.

This was definitely a contender but from personal experience of changing / repairing phones & factory resets etc a lack of SD card is a deal breaker for me. Accessible but none removable battery seems a bit ridiculous too. If the phone crashes (which happens) what can you do? Send it back to China?
So close to be a worldwide contender but a couple of things lacking and poor availability mean this will never be a game changer. Shame as I too am getting sick of the Samsung only choice (not that I'm discrediting their devices) I'd just prefer better other choices than Sony,LG or HTC. Especially now that Sony may soon be no more - bless em.

No doubt, the MX4 Pro is a real gem. But like all Chinese flagships, if you live in North America or Europe you never want to drop one of these bad boys or ever have to repair one - period. The flagships of Samsung, LG and Motorola are also great phones but the difference is that they can all be easily repaired locally - quickly, without shipping the device back to China. Bottom line, if I were living in Shenzhen the choice would be simple - a Meizu or an Oppo for sure. Otherwise, unless a local service center with a quick turnaround time is available in your country, Samsung, Motorola or Apple are probably a better choice.

I couldn't understand why SD card is not good for storing confidential data (pardon my ignorance; I don't mention credit card data etc. Just very important documents for the business). A good SD card survives harsh conditions that all phones fail to survive.

The biggest challenge for the MX4 Pro is Meizu made the MX4 too good, that makes it really tough to justify the extra dollars you need to spend to get a Pro.

PRO people earns his money from his equipment.
When things go wrong (you break the phone or equipment), you take out the SD card and buy another phone and continue your life. PRO carries some confidential info in his/her phone (like photos, price lists, quotations given to companies, important letters, emails saved etc. etc.). PRO uses PRO quality quick and durable SD card by the way (not a cheap crap which will get corrupted after a few months).
When phone is broken you need to send it to service to get your confidential data back if you have no SD card!!! GOD knows who looks at such data.
NO SD = NO PRO BUSINESS.
This is totally unacceptable. Even you put 128GB internal (or lets say even 256GB), SD is still needed. I guess I am clear enough.

No SD + Non availability of 64GB = Not a proper phone for PRO's.
PRO means professional. If you put PRO on a label and don't put an SD card slot pardon me but it becomes NOVICE. If I had to choose a phone without SD, I would go with iPhone.
Spotify and alikes eat memory like crazy. What you will do with 32GB of internal (GOD KNOWS how much is readily available to user; around 25-28GB right)
I don't know where those engineers/designers/owners/sales staff are living, what they are thinking, where they are nurturing their knowledge but someone needs to say them "WAKE UP!!!".

Well at least we know what these 20mp sensors are capable of!
Instead of selling SONY mobile division, they could merge with a better Software company to optimise and update Xperia devices with new android versions and better camera app to use the sensors at their max :-/
Just saying #SonyMobile

About the audio quality part.
It's said the pro version of MX4 has some extra chips for audio than the non-pro version. How come the volume is the only thing that gets better? Weird.
