I certainly see what you're saying, but I back up photos to google photos, I use Google play all access for music, SMS+/Gmail backup. Beyond that, I personally don't have any other important data on my phone, so for *my* particular usage, it's not really an issue (having a 5gb data/month + wifi at home and at work). I could live with it.

In the event that you will send your S6 active for repair and you have no time to backup your data, then you will know that having a microSD still the wise decision.

This is definitely the phone that could bring me back to Samsung. All the bells and whistles of the S6 with some pretty outstanding battery life. Sure, it's not the most svelte or stylish, but generally I've found that using a case renders extra bulk and turns mosts smartphones into a screen (i.e., the exterior becomes more or less irrelevant). Having had an Xperia Z3, this is the next logical step for me. More storage would be nice, but nothing's perfect. I can live with 32gb.

AnonD-22824, 25 Jun 2015@ The naighbour -Inbuild water and dust proofing from samsu... moreI get 100% power back in 80 seconds with boot up time included. I can also charge the spent battery with the cradle desk charger connected to a power bank in the bag while my device stays totally wireless. Why do I do this? Well, my Galaxy Note on my unlimited LTE data service is my main source for my downloads. Just over the last three weeks, I got to used over 100GB for reinstalling my Steam games and the usual 20GB of media I can consume. I use internet radio, Bluetooth is always connected to my Bluetooth earset.

Honestly, why didn't they put this battery in the S6 and S6 Edge? I would rather prefer 1.8 mm more thickness on a phone than a slim, fragile one with a weak battery. And to be honest, 8.6 mm is not too thick. I am using a Z3 compact and it's quite thin. The LG G4 for example is 9.8mm thick so the S6/Edge with 8.6mm would not have been that bad.

They onle have these devices for 2 or 3 days and have no notion of true day-to-day usage. As for this device I'm convinced that in daily use it will be disappointing, just the S6, due to all that white in the UI. It seems that Samsung themselves have given up on the true battery-saving advantages of their SAMOled screens. Fools.

As outdoor phone, there is no other brand to compete with a spec in this field with samsung (not just s6).
Only downside is 32GB mem. There are outdoor cases for note4 that got sdcard - maybe only alternative...

Ugh, despite the good battery life per charge, I would have liked it SOMEHOW Samsung will retain a removable battery and a micro SD slot for the Note 5. The S6 Active - I can understand the sealed battery. Reviewers have cited the new Active to providing at least 5 good solid hours of screen time on. Still a sealed battery on the upcoming Note 5 would just have us heavy users having to plug in and carry power banks. I'd like to be able to put in a ZeroLemon brand tripling the battery more efficiently than an external battery jacket that's just going to waste power transferring energy to the internal battery. I mean, having batteries replacing the spent one gives you 100% power than having to wait to charge, and the spent ones be charge at home on a cradle charger. Waterproofing and ruggedness can be attained with the many selection of waterproof cases.
