.alpha, 02 Oct 2015"... Retina flash the entire screen will light up in white ... moreBut they didn't put it in a phone. That's like saying Apple were the first to put a touchscreen on a phone or something.

AnonD-362866, 02 Oct 2015iOS gaming... Vs. Android gaming. Really? You wanna get int... moreIn fact, no. I'm more referring to the fact that these phones run phone games and 90% of what people will do with these phones is based on social networking/communication. Such a beefy GPU isn't really that needed. Sure it helps with 4k video processing, etc but it's still overpowered for the device. Like the CPU is great but all that computing power is going to be used for some guy to send a picture of his wang to some girl (or boy let's not discriminate) on Snapchat.

AnonD-447488, 03 Oct 2015What are peoples thoughts on Screen Protector for the iPhon... moreA fella said it doesn't affect 3D touch that much.
"I have a glass protector since day one and it has not interfered with the usage of 3D touch at all. If anything I have had to push ever so slightly harder but nothing severe or worth taking it off"

What are peoples thoughts on Screen Protector for the iPhone 6S and does it effect the Touch 3D function?
I have ordered an Edge To Edge Glass Screen Protector like what I had on my last iPhone 6 from the same company Screen Protectors UK but I am wondering now if it will affect the 3D Touch function what do you think?
This is the one that I had bought previously - http://screenprotectors.co.uk/shop/iphone/iphone-6s-full-edge-to-edge-black-tempered-glass-screen-protector-2/ - Will it be ok to use?

Fear, 03 Oct 2015Nice article and good explanation of how the 8 cores are di... moreNo. The benchmark is written to use all cores. And duh not all 8 cores need to run at all times.
You're the one that is a complete fool

Tom-Helge, 03 Oct 2015To me it seems like that you have no clues what so ever abl... moreNice article and good explanation of how the 8 cores are distributing the workload.
But as i said in my previous post, these things are theoretical and on paper they sound perfect.
In reality those "advances" 8 core chips are super power hungry with constant heating issues where throttling is often used to keep them from melting.
Practically it is not true 8 core processor in 80% of the time your phone is using one or two cores to preserve battery life. But when they detect a benchmark app like GeekBench
OEMs like Samsung has dirty trick waking up all those cores an clocks them to their maximum speed just to squeeze better results. Then fooled customers like you are buying their junk.
No hard feelings mate but you are the one who has no idea what is talking about.

summit, 03 Oct 2015so the 3d touch is most likely a Longggggggg press with men... more3D touch recognises the pressure of the touch in an instant - you don't have to press the screen for a such a long time at all.

Enrique, 03 Oct 2015Just imagine you ran out of your phone's intenal memory aft... moreIt was never designed for people who can't afford data, that's not its target market. For 3cents a day you get 50GB iCloud storage basically though which is beyond affordable, but if you don't wanna go that route stop crying and get yourself at least a 64GB version. And if you don't want to put the cash in, there are over 1200 android manufacturers who do all kinds of stuff that would suit your needs, why not go support them? They need it.

Fear, 02 Oct 2015I wonder now ,where are those paper specs junkies who cons... moreTo me it seems like that you have no clues what so ever ablout how the 'big.LITTLE' cpu architect works. Read this to understand that the 'big.LITTLE' CPU isn't about overall performance: http://www.androidauthority.com/fact-or-fiction-android-apps-only-use-one-cpu-core-610352/
This was written at the end there: Clearly Android apps are able to take advantage of multi-core processors and big.LITTLE allows the scheduler to pick the best core combination for the current workload. If you still hear people saying things like 'but a smartphone doesn't need 8 cores' then just throw your hands-up in despair, as it means they don't understand Heterogeneous Multi-Processing and they don't understand that big.LITTLE is about power efficiency and not overall performance.
And to add something to that. Even though some of the apps doesn't support more than 2 CPU-cores, then the kernel will make sure to take full control of that and choose what CPU-cores that is best for that application anyways as explained in the article.
