Sony Xperia Z5 Compact review: The overachiever

The amount of people claiming the samples have a lot of detail make me cringe. You guys are obviously thinking "sharpening artifacts = details". That's just so wrong it hurts. The reviewer is right, Sony continues to cripple their phone cameras with bad post-processing.
I'm also rather disappointed with the lack of metal frame, especially since every other version of the compact had one. I don't mind simplicity in design, but this one's just bland to the point of being unappealing.

You can shoot 40 minutes of 4k video with z5 compact better than any other phone with sd810. And yes if you don't trust me search on the YouTube. Think twice before posting a negative comment huh

Long day yesterday. I ve spent my day with the Z5c overachiever and it really did lived up to its moniker! I don't know if the Z5 heats up, but the Z5c doesn't at any circumstances!
I started my day with 1 hour of real racing 3 and WI fi on,that was the only moment the phone got warm, but not hot.
I ve been to a wedding, driven one hour with voice guided GPS and one hour to return, made over 100 photos there and a few video clips, had 3-4 5-7minute calls, all the while sending sms, fb messaging and viber messaging, returned again under the voiced guidance of the overachiever, never closed any app, never worried about the battery, i returned home with 32%
As for the Camera, the app is not opening as fast as i would like from the dedicated button. Picture quality is great, maybe a bit oversaturated, but it could be the screen, focusing is stellar, didn't miss its focus not even once in a hundred pics. I was particularly impressed by the zoom,if you go half way there, you don't lose any quality! Great performance overall! No issues to report!

Dual heat pipe is used in z5. But not in z5 compact.
So you can still fry an egg on your z5 compact.

Fortunately there are a good number of real reviewers out there which can differentiate...
Love this stories alike " bought the device, had to take it back after 2 days because palmburns, took 6s/s6 instead...its superb"

So, you know, just to have some proof of your claim,for which you came here to write about through 50 or so replies and posts...
But as long as you praise s6 and 6s here, it doesnt matter right.

I regret I ever posted my experience with the Z5 on here, which was all I was trying to do post my own personal experience, little did I realise that doing so would somehow personally offend a bunch brand obsessed sad weirdos, you people are beyond a pathetic joke and are in dire need of professional help!
Buy the bloody things for I care, I hope you are happy with them, but honestly and at the end of the day it really makes no difference to me.

Ale, 09 Oct 2015Yeah, I think under clocking it would be the best answer. i... moreThere is no need to underclock this phone at all , I have been reading many comments about under clocking the phone but answer is that it doesn't need at all , the heating problem was treated by duel heat pipe and thermal gel , if some of you may have noticed that the a57 cores are clocked to it's full potential (unlike some other companies which under clocked the processor itself or by software optimisation) ,

The Cpu set up of the 808, but the Gpu, Isp, and memory controller of the 810, they could call it the 809 or something. That would be quite a potent little SoC.
Too late in the game for that now though, guess we'll just have to see what the 820 brings to the table

I didn't pick up on the relatively bad edge sharpness of the Z5C compared to the Z3C as poer the compare tool. I love my Z3C, but I was hoping that the Z5C camera was better enough to upgrade. Perhaps not. Where is the smartphone under 5 inches with OIS, a good flash, and a solid sensor? Oh right, it's the Lumia 1020 and 925 sitting next to my Z3C. Argh...
