Apple iPhone 6s Plus vs. Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+: Double positive

15 October, 2015
3D Touch or curved Edge screen? Metal or glass? LCD or AMOLED? iOS or Android? Speed and silky-smooth response or heavy-duty multitasking? These are the questions and no one’s got better answers than you. And if the answers consistently put you on this or that side of the line, you know all there is to know.

honestly, I refuse to own an apple device purely because It's to automated. It makes to many decisions outside of my wishes, that an the entire eco system is very restrictive an doesn't play well with other devices an OS

how ever, I still feel in terms of Android VS Apple, Apple is the better, smoother an more stable OS. That said, it's to restrictive an I have no wish to own the Apple Eco System

Disappointed to see Samsung's still buggy version of Droid put above Apple OS in this un-biased Comparison.

And the extra details also help bring out the food points too.
As well as the better white balance without the more green like cast is something people appreciate for their skin too.

And just because apples images are not as sharp does not make the processing more mature.

AnonD-442781, 18 Oct 2015The 6s would have a more detailed photo, no?It would have more details or at least as much details as in an iPhone 6 however it would not sharpen those details to the point of highlighting skin blemishes unlike that of Samsung.

I would totally agree that a scenery shot by a Galaxy S6 would look way better than that of an iPhone with no zoom, simply because both capture fine detail really well, but their processing algorithms are totally different. Samsung goes for a "crisper" approach, making its photos stand bright and sharp, like that of a DSLR. Apple goes for a rather subdued approach, making the colors look good while processing fine details in a more mature sense, i'dd say. Samsung's approach works well with objects or scenery or anything non-human. Even in some cases it would best Apple's, but when selfies get involved anyone who used both of them would agree that iPhone takes more share ready selfies.

Anonymous, 18 Oct 2015LMFAO!!!!! So just because you can't accept the way you ... moreOil painting effect is not equivalent to what an iPhone produces, its what beautify mode is.
The changes in an iPhone are so damn subtle that it gets really hard to figure out if the photo is edited or not, while in beauty mode anyone can see that effects are applied to it.
                  This is the difference.

And yeah, almost 90% of the humans DO have skin flaws.. A few have blemishes, a few have scars, a few have pimples, while others have black heads or skin pigmentations.. While it does not hide those (unlike beautify), it just makes them more manageable or if they are really less to begin with, clear those.

Its a matter of personal opinion, I guess. But remember, not everyone has flawless skin, not even majority. Only one in 10 gets sheer beauty. I guess you do have it, but as compensation you are lacking in the brain department for taking my comment in such an offensive direction.. ;)

I love apple and samsung products, they have an edge over each other however choosing between their top of the line phones really depends on a persons preference. If an Iphone 6s plus suits you then go for it and same as for the galaxy s6 edge+. It doesnt matter what phone you choose as long as it provides excellency in specific task you greatly love and enjoy.

Well lemme see where to start.
I have been an avid apple phane since iphone released and then had Iphone 3s, 4s, 5s and then 6 plus.
I was on vacation and we were about to boar a ferry that was knee deep in ocean in Ko Samui (thailand). iphone got wet for 5 sec and gues what became non repairable and my wife's galaxy S5 survived.
Then in Bangkok I saw both Iphone 6s plus and Galaxy edge plus.
OMG the looks of edge plus blew me.
So i decided to give it a chance.
No having Edge plus for just couple of days I have realized what a fool I have been buying iphones. Everything is so easy with samsung like sharing and downloading stuff. Pictures and Videos can match my Canon 7D DSLR camera.
for me its edge plus 100 times better than iphone. Not a big fan of android though but samsung is amazing and it will take time to get used to android coz i find ios simpler and easier.
                            Hope this will help

Firstly, "iPhone 6s Plus is a lot slippery without a case on". Maybe modify that sentence so it says something like "is very slippery".

                                Secondly, the battery test.

IMO the Samsung got a great endurance rating because of its talk time.

These days - talk time is the least feature I use on my phone.

Texting, social media, email and web dominate most people's use with a smartphone.

Here, the iPhone dominates, by a bit. So a "narrow" margin it is not for me.

I'm surprised you don't feel the same way.

There is no way that Google music beats Apple music because it is not available in many regions. It is annoying as someone who has only had Android phones (Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Moto G 1st and now 2nd Generation) to not be able to purchase any content from Google and have to rely on third party apps that more often than not leave my phone with adware. It has been years of waiting and I highly doubt we'll see them available in my region anytime soon while Apple Music (or ITunes on my PC) is the only place we can legally purchase or stream good quality music.

i prefer the samsungs not just because of the hardware i like the freedom of android than having to be forced to use itunes and only apps Apple approve

android offer the freedom of using apps that are not on the market and you dont have to pay as many of the apps like you have to with App store

i do agree samsung have copied some of the iphone but same can go for Apple copying some of the Android features

but while Apple and Samsung are battling it out other phones will start to be designed to beat the samsung and apple phones i.e Oneplus Two
