Xiaomi Mi 4c review: MiForce

21 October, 2015
Xiaomi Mi 4, one of the hottest Chinese-bred flagships of 2014, got two modifications over the course of its lifecycle - that's an achievement right there. The Mi 4i was more of an attractive mid-ranger rather than a Mi 4 spiritual successor, but the Mi 4c is what we call a flagship in disguise and a true successor of the Mi 4.

what is with the poor battery life on these chinese phones? it has great potential to be a battery leader with such a huge battery, 1080p display, snapdragon 808; and it dissapoint again... the same with the xiaomi note 2, meizu note, etc...

How is its camera's performance in low light and extreme low light situations?

I suggest GSMA make a versus article involving Chinese OEMs' devices with comparable price point.

        =)

It's easy to replace if your battery is damaged, but not removable in the sense of "swappable" when you need a quick top up.

In fact, you should check out the Samsung Galaxy S4 review. That's from 2 years ago at least.

At the bottom of page 2, it says this. The rear panel can't be removed, which means you can replace your battery whenever you want. What?

I don't know why gsmarena is complaining when mi just copied their design once and they're already saying is a refurbished design while samsung is copying their design a thousand times and gsmarena doesn't even complain once. lol

Too bad you don't know which camera sensor you are going to get: Samsung or Sony.

Can the author of this review use an app or something else to figure out which camera sensor this review unit has?

Awesome review. As always gsmarena. Loving this phone. The only gripe I have with Chinese phones (even the bigger players such as Xiaomi, Meizu, Huawei etc) they don't have official sar values listed anywhere. Which is unfortunate.

i dont know if its odd, but i actually feel 5" is perfect size for a phone. One hand maneuverability is so simple and easy. you never feel uneasy.
Xiaomi's biggest asset has been the right size, i wouldnt say compact. Its big enough for games, net, browsing. For reading purposes even 6" is not great. compared to even One+ i would prefer a Xiaomi just for their sizes and work horse under that.

Last but not the least, nothing beats ease and simplicity of a Miui Rom.
