HTC One A9 review: Rejuvenation

28 October, 2015
HTC One A9 is not just a phone, it's a corporate rejuvenation. A9 is the boost HTC needs to swim out of the murky waters and claim its piece on the market. HTC may have outed a few very capable phones this year, but it needs a game changer, a statement that the king is still alive and kicking...

I just received my A9 from the USA in Australia today and it is F..k..… amazing. It is hyper loads better than the GSM arena picture by a long shot. It is so sleek, so masculine. The critics were right about its look and feel. It is the best looking mobile phone I have ever seen. Seriously it is. Way way past my expectations. I wanted an apple look but I got so much better. This is the best mobile purchase I have made in 4 years an probably the best looking mobile I have seen. Now . . .i can finally see what the guys in the launch were excited about. The marshmallow on top and that screen. Stunning!! Do I sound excited. You bet. Well earnt HTC well earnt.

Bump ! The eight cores of the Snapdragon 615 are divided into two quad-core clusters, each optimized for a different operating point. While one cluster can clock up to 1.7 GHz to handle more demanding applications, the other cluster is limited to a maximum of 1.0 GHz for energy-saving purposes. All eight cores can be active at the same time, although most applications aren't parallelized to support 8 cores efficiently... So, correction required.

price is not right for the spec

                I found this online today
HTC takes a jab at Apple in HTC One A9 commercial. Cool actually. Nice to see a bit of banter : - )

                You tube Commercial: https://youtu.be/8IkS1oXvhVM

The HTC One A9 may look nearly identical to the Apple iPhone 6, but HTC seems to think it is the perfect alternative for those who love the looks of the iPhone but the freedom offered by Android.

This message is in plain view in the new HTC One A9 commercial, which is now available on YouTube. During the ad, HTC highlights the One A9 premium all-metal design, 24-bit Boom Sound audio experience, optical image stabilization and RAW image capture, and the fact that the phone is running Android Marshmallow.

Android fans may dismiss the HTC One A9 as just another iPhone clone, but we know that there are quite a few people who stick with Apple simply because they love the look of its phones.

Whichever way, the A9 is indeed beautiful.

This phone should cost no more than 100$ USD

We just ordered 4 sets for our business. Cant wait. i think it looks very sharp classy from the videos and Tawain images and is a great upgrade from the One S. Android, Amoled, Image Stabilization, Image processing and sleekness and battery saver mode and a host of other goodies etc. It will be just fine. Im getting a solid day out of a smaller battery with moderate use and this is bigger, more efficient chipset / cores. I also like the Apple i6, and thought wouldn't that be nice to have if only it had Android in it. I must have had a dream and it just came true.
I must say i like HTC overall builds.

We've been exploring all the goodies in Android Marshmallow with the Nexus line, but there's one tantalizing aspect of Marshmallow that couldn't be explored until the HTC One A9 came along: adoptable storage. Unlike the Nexus devices, the A9 has a microSD card slot, and while traditionally a microSD could take some of the burden off your internal storage, there were a lot of caveats. Even though there may be dozens of free gigabytes on your card, you'd be out of room on your internal storage and out of luck. The A9 counteracts this brilliantly. its also easy to format.
