But how many apps are optimised for all 8 cores? Is the operating system fully optimised to take full advantage of 8 cores? Single core would be more important I would suggest as it would be used more often. 2nd, iOS is crippled? Really? Please discuss. Whilst nobody doubts that Android has more customisation, please enlighten the readers as to what Android does that is so much better that makes iOS crippled

For some silly reason antutu 6.0 severely underweight multicore when api like vulkan would give them much much more value. Antutu also doesn't take resolution into account, so having 4x the number of pixels severely hurts the score.
In reality, the s7 performs better. And that says nothing about how android has much m9re functionality than the crippled ios to the point it shouldn't matter even if the iPhone has better performance.

Anonymous, 12 Mar 2016No in everything S7 still beat iphone7 lol apart from that the 6 month old iPhone 6S has better CPU and GPU performance. Thats before the iPhone 7 even comes out. Now its funny, iPhone users have for years said benchmarks dont matter its about real world performance, whilst Samsung guys were claiming to be the best based on their benchmarks. Funny now that Samsung arent number 1, suddenly the same people say benchmarks dont matter. Im not saying that they do, because they generally dont, but its funny how attitude has changed now that Samsung are not number 1 in benchmarks

Not a big issue. always on display can be turned off. If we see over all then, the battery life is fine with Exynos Octa, QHD. It depends on people usage. I have seen iphone, samsung, HTC, Sony users who use power bank, charging battery while driving car, plugging in USB charging while sitting on laptop, but all in all, all phones revolve around the same battery life. I use power bank and i never faced issues with battery life. Moreover, I feel that the battery start to die when we update the phone. To sum up, there is nothing like Apple vs samsung vs Lg vs HTC vs Sony vs Xiaomi etc, all phones are great, so whatever you choose, just go for it. Gud luck frds.. Enjoy :)

How can GSM Arena not consider the MS apps as bloatware? It's exactly that. It can't be uninstalled, likely only deactivated, and Sami only put it on the phone for good old money. I always have to look at the ugly icons.

Hope GSMARENA team posts the benchmark results and battery life results for Snapdragon 820 powered variant as well........ I'm hearing that SD820 powered version may have lower battery life.
That said, even the Exynos powered version had lower battery life than I was expecting. Note 5 has a bigger screen and the same 3000 mAH but manages to post better battery life.

Video - Note5 - 13:51, S7 - 14:50
Seems battery life is the price you have to pay for the extra performance.

I don't know how the others, but I watch videos more on tablet than on the phone(more like only on tablet). Now I wonder what did they mean better endurance when majority of users use wireless connections, and in this even with bigger battery its same/worse than last year phones with S810/exynos.
