Huawei P9 review: Ascension

15 April, 2016
Huawei pulled the wraps on its next flagship in London in early April. But do you know what's better than London? Shooting London with the Huawei P9. The city looks magical throughout the P9's Leica lens and the phone feel fabulous throughout your eyes. Yes, the Huawei P9 has a lot going on and all of it seems promising.

Dude p9 is priced and made to a flagship grade device but the only thing which is a huge let down on p9 is chipset and gpu with rather limited capabilites.

            1. I've never said it's an all rounder. I mearly stated the fact, that its hardware is good enough to have a decent device experience.
            2. It doesn't fail, graphically it performs as well as other flagships in a real life experience (but we all know you're after benchmark numbers). Just okay 1080p video and no 4K? And? Their focus was on photos, not video. They've made that clear since the announcement of collaboration with Leica.
            3. Yeah...unlike Snapdragon and Exynos with Adreno, that's throttling after short stress use. I'll take Kirin, thank you.
            4. Performance is relative (you want peak, I want sustained). Also...worth noting, that entry price of flagships is £100+ more than what Huawei is asking for. You want *bling*, I want value for money. We both win in our own way. Just because someone has different opinion, it doesn't mean its wrong. Get that through your thick skull, boy.

After 1 year, almost all of them give soul and doesn't hold the charge overnight. Of course if you don't use your phone heavily, it can go on for around 2 years (even I charge once a day, 2 years of battery life is too optimistic and never seen such long life yet). But typical smartphone user who use Facebook, Twitter (who charges overnight and in the midday) kills the battery typically around 1 year. So, after 1 year, you need to send your premium phone for battery replacement (with a PREMIUM cost!).
Unrepleceable batteries are THE UGLIEST FACE OF CAPITALISM. Don't tell me about IP68 etc. stuff, it is BS.

From the description, the software give the photographer a lot of manual mode options and filters to get quite creative.
