abc, 25 May 2016why you said that we are sammy fans? dude.. i'm not samsung... moreHow about last year flagships?
Read the conclusion of this article:
http://m.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_z5_premium-review-1344p10.php
"Sony is ahead of the competition for the first time in years with the new Xperia Z5 Premium."
Would you be here replying if Sony did the same next IFA?
For me I wish Sony keep X Performance as their flagship for this year. It's all what I need, eventhough they might do again the same to the likes of you by bringing (X Premium). I would rather get the X Performance, because it exactly meets most consumers requirements.
So pathetic replies.

And then you use it to prove its better than older H.264. H265 is newer, better? Its yet to be proven.
And you said its only to prove its there for video recording? Its ok. Its better to approve it and talk about something else.

AnonD-442781, 25 May 2016What does h.625 have to do with the camera sensor?
And ... moreIn the interests of fairness (which despite some childish claims from certain weak minded people is what I always aim for), there is no reason the X shouldn't able to record in 4k if sony deem it appropriate to enable in some future update. Much in the same way the HTC desire received the ability to record in 720p via a firmware update.
The sensor and SoC are both capable of supporting 4k capture. This H.265 debate has kind of lost its way (several pages ago in fact).
Botton line is the X like all smartphones should be viewed and reviewed in line with what it currently offers for its current price, not what it may offer in future.
And in those regards the X does not represent good value for money as more capable (overall) competitor's exist on the market now for the same or less cost.
Fanboys or not, its hard to dispute that fact.

Tann Hauser, 25 May 2016http://www.redsharknews.com/business/item/2036-samsungs-nx1... moreThe tittle: Samsung's NX1: The first 4K camera to record in H.265
NX1 is 4K camera thats why it records 4K. Even if sammy opted for h.264 it still records 4K. So, it isnt about the codec. H.265 has nothing to do with video recording
There is no statement that H.265 is 'only' for 4K. Or H.265 doesnt support lower res video. Ofcourse it does. Thats why low end E5 also honors also have that codec.
Lastly again it also mean sammy had choice to opted largely used H.264, but they decide to used unproven newer h.265. If sammy is the first to use h.265 in camera, and they still dont used it for their phone, it isnt anything else but they have reason. It also states H.265 video takes a LOT more computing power.

Jumbo, 25 May 2016Honestly I have to side with Tann on this one, Fanboy or no... moreWhat does h.625 have to do with the camera sensor?
And why are you acting like that troll has a point when he keeps spamming the white paper which explicitly says the camera only records up to 1080p.
If the phone could record in 4k, then it would have said so. There is no reason for Sony to put in 4k recording and not tell anyone.

[deleted post]Honestly I have to side with Tann on this one, Fanboy or not. What hardware in the Phone do you think does the video recording? The touchscreen? No. It's the camera sensor. So of course they're related, regardless of which section of the specs GSMArena puts the feature in.
I can understand why Tann is face-palming..
On the other hand it's not the sensor unit that does the encoding anyway, so it's not a feature of the camera --or-- video, but rather the chipset. But that's the same for --any-- DSLR or other anyway, so maybe a moot point for this discussion.

Tann Hauser, 25 May 2016https://www.qualcomm.com/products/snapdragon/processors/801... moreRead what more carefully? Gsmarena says that the one plus x has h.265.
And guess where it is on the spec sheet? On features next to the other video playing features like mp4, not near the camera.
No decent phone seems to have h.265. Only Cheap Chinese phones and Sony. They all use better video decoders. Do you feel embaraased yet? All this time you were boasting about it but then you found out its not related to the camera and even worse, its what cheap Chinese phones use. Oh well... :(

I think its because there is word camera and H.265, so he concluded they are related.
All people who have read the article will agree, he misinterpretated it, he is only a brainless fanboy.

Hahahahahaha.
The video codec has nothing to do with the camera. Thats why you get it on PCs and things. And that's why Sony hasn't put 4k recording native on the device, because its not capable of it, like all the other cheap phones with h.625. Its used for streaming videos. Proper flagships have a better codec though.

But even if you forget that, he doesn't seem to realise that h.625 is used by cheap Chinese phones like oneplus, xiaomi and huawei, while actual flagships have better video encoders.
For some reason, he thinks that because Sony uses the same thing as cheap phones, it must still be good because Sony uses it. He probably thinks having less ram is good too. What a fanboy lol.
