As much as I love Sony products and their quality. Their smartphone division is really having a tough time. I thought when they brought the Z5 family, it'll be a start of their reigning again in the smartphone market much like they day they compete with Nokia but I guess it's still a process they need to learn again.

@ GSMArena, why are you guys putting iOS and Android benchmark in the same table. They are not compareable with each other. Those cross platform benchmark has flaw and don't run same binary.

Top simply design, rectangular and slightly rounded corner make the phone look boxy. That's why i never buy a single xperia phone. Not looked pretty at all. Sony still a looser even when they have superior hardware quality.
Just My oponion. I prefer Apple iPhone or android Samsung. Even chinese phone have a lot beautiful phone today.

The worst part is that this phone was announced months ago, before even the Galaxy S7 launch. It would be kinda okay if this was launched right then and there. But now? This is the problem of Sony since the Xperia Arc. They announced a seemingly great/decent device, and then they let the competitors to out-launch them by months to the point that Sony's devices become just a meh when they are actually shipping. And it's not like the devices are perfect either. Sony phones cannot even take better pictures than other phones that use Sony's own sensors. That's how bad it is.

AnonD-5197, 17 Jun 2016Released very late with same specs as everyone else's phone... moresame specs on paper only it looks. technically only camera looks better. no build quality no optimization same old tiny volume sound etc. i m mad at sony for putting zero effort into this.
atleast APPLE makes it worth the price.

dude camera is not everything. the difference will be marginal in either direction on dxo. u r talking like it will leave other flagship cams miles behind. REALLY POLYCARBONATE FRAME. what i dont get is , how lg g5 with 2800 battery on 5.3 QHD screen has 60hr endurance, and this fullHD 5 inch with 2700 has 61hrs, and with only 300 more at 3000mAh xiaomi mi5 has 30hrs more (92hrs) of endurance . i suppose sony really put zero effort into software and other optimizations, and they want to take full advantage of stupid fans like us. my dream of switching from z3 to xp down the drain hah!

This year Sony just made new record of weird and ldiotic ideas... I have no idea who made those decisions but it perfect example of stabbing yourself in the back using rhino riding on lion that have katana in his paws...
It sound weird just like Sony recents ideas... And xperia XP is perfect example of it
