Lol, 19 Jun 2016Lol. Samsung aleady has better design than sony. Sony must... moreApple protect its lens with sapphire which is stronger than gorilla glass because it camera lens is a protrude king need a shield to protect from scratches, Samsung reduce the protrude of the camera lens but protrude is still there. Sony camera lens is flat, in normal usage it wouldn't easy get scratched, just like my Z2, unless you want to scratch it by using a knife, but normally people won't do that stupid test.

AnonD-442781, 21 Jun 2016Its not speculation. You can see where the numbers come fro... moreI'm a little confused, the X-P scores lower than other 820 based mainstream devices in Antutu, so why is TannHauser saying it's the best overall performer?
Also you might notice Tann's hypocrisy regarding DXOMark, you see he holds them in very high regard as evidenced by his line "Dxo mark is the most composite and proffesional camera tester,"
And yet even though they have given the current number one spot to both the S7 and HTC, Tann's opinion of regarding the camera's of both devices is still that they are essentially cr*p.
The fact that he can think so highly of a particular test site one minute and then be so dismissive of their findings the next is nothing but pure hypocrisy!

Its a bit disappointing to see a pretty mediocre phone for premium price from Sony after weak sales last year.

Your speculati... moreIts not speculation. You can see where the numbers come from. And you'd see they come from the GPU part of the benchmark.
Dxomark numbers are subjective. As in said, you have to look at where the numbers actually come from. It isn't the same as objectively testing the display and showing how inaccurate it is.
You know so little it's pitiful, you're probably a child.

mir, 21 Jun 2016Looks like they're gonna fail as well this year at this rat... moreCouldn't agree more. I no longer see Sony phones in people's hands anymore. Those who are using Sony , have significantly old handsets like Z2 or Z3C.

Anonymous, 21 Jun 2016You lied. Nothing that you said was on Anandtech review abo... moreRead this passage from AnadTech carefully :
Moving on to our saturations test, it’s evident that Sony is targeting either a different gamut from sRGB or just using the native gamut of the display here as there’s fairly significant color error across the board. This occurs even with X-Reality and Super Vivid mode disabled, so I suspect the situation is even worse with either of those enabled. This wider gamut is quite noticeable as everything looks rather neon compared to something like the Galaxy S7 or HTC 10 with their calibrated modes. Basically the only color that is represented accurately here is yellow, and everything else suffers from significant oversaturation. Thankfully, the saturation curve is linear here so things aren’t as bad as they might be, but these kinds of things are increasingly hard to justify when Xiaomi is shipping excellently calibrated displays in phones that cost hundreds of dollars less.

AnonD-79180, 21 Jun 2016How difficult is it to type "Xperia X Anandtech" in the goo... moreNope, you re wrong on that storage thing.
I quote myself again
"This quote seems to be relevant:
"we use AndroBench 4 to get a better idea for overall performance, but this is really just a first order approximation and hides an immense amount of information that you would want to properly evaluate storage performance.
By default, Androbench 4 is using relatively ridiculous settings. For example, for sequential reads and writes it uses a 32MB block size when the average sequential read/write is more like 256KB or 512KB. It also sets 8 IO threads by default, which to some extent is unreasonable because such a test setting is really mostly designed to favor storage with a UFS controller and using such aggressive settings can actually have a detrimental effect on eMMC performance due to resource contention issues."
X actually outperforms most.flags in read speed, so....
And for screen, for the sake of it just google X screen in yt and actually SEE its screen performance with your own eyes, compared to others

I had briefly used Xperia Z2. What a great phone and quite ahead of its time ( in user experience and specification). I think only the processor and a tiny bump in megapixel count is the difference between Z2 and X Performance.

Your speculati... moreFHD, light modded ui with sd820 is better performer, 720p with SD820 will be much better performer. The cheaper the screen, the better the performance. Its that simple.
So the better performance doesn't change the fact that its only a low-cost high end crp

September last year, Sony CEO give them a year to turn profitable, or turn the face.
Yes, in Q1 this year they finally made tiny profit. But it looks like they fail in Q2.

Both Xperia X Performance and Xperia X use inferior storage technology and badly calibrated, cheap display tech when compared to something like Samsung S7 , HTC 10 or even Xiaomi Mi5 . Please google " Xperia X Anandtech " and read their initial impressions.
Sony has stooped very low in order to get huge profit margins. I least expected this from a Japanese company . Very sad , I used to look up to Sony.

AnonD-442781, 21 Jun 2016Antutu is a composite benchmark. If you had sense you'd act... moreAntutu is overall performance benchmark....
Your speculation is nonsense, because of fhd screen and sd820 the device is best overall(composite) performer on the market at this moment.
Period.
Oh we can all see the numbers, but somehow sonys additional screen tech, which you obviously deliberately chose to ignore, makes it.... Exceptionally good.
So what is your problem?
And always the same talk about the camera....
Camera is top.
Dxo mark is the most composite and proffesional camera tester, backed by numbers, and when z5 was placed on top, backed by NUMBERS, fanboys bashed dxo for it.
Now when, as I expect because it is even better, X Performance camera gets top numbers, I guess bashing and negation will continue....
For you its always poor, even with 87 score...
Now that is plainly called personal opinioned trolling.
Ill get back to you with dxo mark score as soon as it is out, so stay tuned...

like that antutu 116k number, when the phone ... moreAntutu is a composite benchmark. If you had sense you'd actually look at why it got more, and you'd see it was because of the low resolution.
About the screen, it isn't my opinion, it is an undisputable fact that the screen is incredibly innacurate and poorly calibrated. Along with the other numbers posted for you. But I guess even numbers have no meaning to you because just as you can't assess a camera, you can't even assess objective numbers.
