When you go elsewhere, and no WiFi is availabe, I think,this phone switches to data and shuts off wifi. Mine has done that, and when I turn the WiFi back on , it's fine. Ps, turning on the wifi is easy, just swipe down from the top and touch the wifi.

I've had this piece of trash for only TWO months and it's already too sluggish to use! When it comes to somebody calling me, my phone rings but nothing shows up onscreen for 8 to 10 seconds! Does anyone execute a longevity test anymore? It's the LAST time I buy Samsung!

The phone model is good ,every thing in this phone is superb except one thing ,when you play games having movement wheel it cannot move easily suddenly it will stop and you have to touch it again to make it move ,for ex when u play mobile legend u ll find the issue ,samsung cant fix this issue until now,they dont know whats the problem i have buy this phone just 15 days and i found out this problem ,Its a hardware problem on this phone something is wrong ,and samsung did not take action until now,Beware

I believe I finally found the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus true competition. This is the device that has all of the technology Apple is continuing to give it's fans and maybe even more. Just Wow....

Kemi, 23 Jul 2017Another good device from Samsung There was a time when all I ever owned was Samsung phones, then I left and came back after about 3 years. I wish I hadn't come back to this phone! The battery on this phone overheats VERY easily...to the point that I get a message saying that it cannot charge because it is too hot! And it's not just mine that does it; my husband's does it too! After all the problems Samsung with a previous battery, it almost scares me to use this one now! I don't have games on my phone because of the lack of internal storage space, so it's not getting over-used. VZ gave us a "deal" on this phone...half price! I would take full price on a phone with more memory any day over this one!

These phones are overrated. On messenger half the sickets don't show. If you have to charge the phone expect it to stop everything. Not a very good product if you think about software

It's about time that people starting to get annoyed with this programmed obsolescence. Especially since customers eventually get the bill. In europe goverments are charging additional environment taxes on batteries, consumer devices, storage devices-tax, recycling-tax and god knows what else. Yet manufacturers force us to throw away our perfectly good phones every 2 years. Why don't THEY pay these taxes instead of us!

Why wouldn't they? It's disgusting to see some manufacturers denying OS updates on older phones since most of them are all the same Cortex-A53 based crap that they have been selling the past 3 or 4 years! So in essence (and IMHO) every 64-bit android phone is capable of the latest Android and thus should get manufacturers upgrade. Period.

Oh yeah, the uglier flat of already ugly flat material design. Why they call this crap "material design" is beyond me! There's no brushed metal, no glossy icons or textures, not even a goddamn shadow to distinguish the app-icons from a (busy) background. And this stupid lines makes it all worse. Some of the icons are completely meaningless.
Oh well. After I saw that this was yet another Cortex A53 phone my interest waned quickly. There's just too many Samsungs... S-series, A-series, J-series, C-series... and they all have the same crappy Cortex A53... one way or another (except the S-series which are supposedly high-end).

Or Netfilx put their saved video on "shared" folder, just like What'sApp did (put their chat file on the "shared" folder). The thing is, I was wondering if anyone experience the same bug.

Just bought the A5 2017 instead of the J7 2017 because where I am the prices are about the same because of a price drop on the A5 and the A5 has better water resistance proofness to fight the rain. Comparing camera samples in gsmarena's tool it seems a wash perhaps with a slight edge to the more wide angled and thus portrait friendly J7 but the differences are small even to the flagship S8 and the DSLR D5. That the weight and size is somewhat less is very welcome - the silicone addon case is not weightless. Batteritime on both is good. The other differences such as more rom and faster cpu are not that important to me - I'm not a gamer. The A5 is not with the latest OS but Samsung usually provides at least 2 upgrades sooner or later.
