Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) review: Major Junior League

19 July 2017
The Galaxy J7 (2017) is the latest annual edition of an already popular phone. The J series has already shaped as a home to some solid midrange propositions and the Galaxy J7 (2017) is meant to spice things up even further. The newcomer is blurring the lines between the J series and the A series just as we thought we had Samsung’s portfolio segmentation all figured out.

micro usb outdated? Come on... what's wrong with microusb? The vast majority of accessories run on this port. It's very pratical since everyone owns a wall charger, host adapters etc etc. It's pure programmed obsolescence to change a standard port

[deleted post]I am not a fanboy of Sony. I do own other smartphones other than Sony of course. Most of them coming from Samsung and XIAOMI. Yes, I do own the Z and X series of Sony, but I also own Samsung's S and Note series, for XIAOMI all high end flagships. I am just giving opinions to those who want better performance than this man. So, saying another brand of the phone like what I recommended means that I am a Sony fanboy? So like I said I own Samsung and XIAOMI too does that mean I am a Samsung and XIAOMI fanboy too? Then if some recommended like Moto G5 does that mean that they are Motorola fanboys? Bruh

Hi GSMArena, I have a question.

I have Galaxy C9 Pro, and I think it's mostly the same in OS as in this J7. My question is in SAMSUNG DEVICE MAINTENANCE, if I click FIX NOW, it will delete my Netflix Offline content. Is the Device maintenance in the J7 Pro have the "SAME BUG"?

I really wish samsung would put an option, so that user can 'fine tune' to exclude some of the folder.

I'm considering buying the Mi Max 2 and it'll cost me $270 with the delivery...lol, almost $100 cheaper and beats the J7 at pretty much everything, besides screen quality.

They are far behind the mid competition and prices are raised as ****. And flagship are super expensive and I don't trust them. My experience with alpha made me think twice If I will buy s8 next year.

It's a decent device for someone who does not play too much games, I guess. I'm J7 2016 user, and I really don't see anything special here that's worth upgrading, only more premium design and stuff like fingerprint scanner, and I really don't care too much about that. But yeah, J7 2016 is still a great choice, and if I had to choose right now I would pick it up again probably.

Still a bit salty gsmarena never reviewed the j7 prime. But i digress since this j7 (2017) is better than the prime.
