It is generally not seen in camera phones since they have such a small focal length, usually measured in millimeters (like 3.8 mm). Extremely small crop factors allow the cameras to appear to have longer focal lengths.
Brokeh as an artistic flourish allows the photographer to place emphasis on the subject, blurring out the background to remove distractions.
Computational photography allows a camera phone to do this using some type of depth sensing.
The iPhone 7 Plus used its stereoscopic lenses to produce a depth map of 9 different background depths, and computationally apply 9 increasing levels of blur to the background real-time on screen as you're composing the shot.
Doesn't Samsung do this too now? (quelle surprise)

In most cameras manual mode you have selective focus, to create bokeh background effect. It is real bokeh.
Shame dxo doesnt even test manual features on phone cameras, but does some extra effect, out of automode, on iphones....
Somewhat selective circumstantial protocols now they have.

If we will remove iPhone branding, call it Motorola, or Nokia for the same price - hipe will be huge. And everyone will defend price. By the way, Motorola z2 force with outdated design and literally nothing special costs even higher. And nobody cares. Overhiped v30 will have no support, has bad screen but nobody cares it's even pricier than iPhone.

They added a protocol for an effect mode on iphone.
But that effect has been on some phones over 3 years now.
Why doesnt dxo test that effect, called Background defocus, on other phones, but only main camera bokeh?

If you want wired fast charging, you need to get a USB-C to lightning cable. Then you need a USB-C port to plug it in to (which is a more expensive and complex beast than most other USB type A ports supplying power).
If you've recently purchased a computer, I believe you use one of their USB-C ports to charge your phone.
The lightning port is an ambidextrous port and preceded the USB-C port. In fact, its existence may have inspired the USB-C port.
Now your last statement AFAICT violates the posting rules, and makes me think the only reason you're here is to troll.
I keep hearing the term sheep used to describe fans of Apple products.
Sheep are presumably called that because they mindlessly follow a pack and make mindless bleating noises.
The closest thing I hear to bleating comes from those who ignore objective tests and carefully weighed reviews, and relentlessly bleat their repetitive slogans.

P9 User, 30 Sep 2017i don't think this phone will sell like hotcakes, given th... moreMost processors can do the job for email or normal photography, but when you get to intense computational needs like real-time computational photography, gaming, video editing/transcoding, or AR (and Google's trying to get ARCore together for some unfathomable and I'm sure highly original reason) you'll need every erg of computational power you can muster.

When Apple decides to stop stealing people and offer them a complete package I will consider buying from them.
They are already overpriced and they give you a garbage 1A power adapter? and force you to pay another $100 for fast charging adapter from them. and at least $50 Adapter if third party.
and what as well ? the stupid ugly lightning port and ignoring USB C port just to sell you HDMI cable for $100
get lost apple no one cares about your products but sheeps. true it is nice and the IOS is nice , but stealing my money like that is not acceptable at all.

I dont want blurred bacgrounds all the time, in fact mostly I dont want them. That is what Background defocus is there for, as an option, an effect, not mandatory effect...

Clearly daylight images of xz1 compact are better than both S8 and 8 plus look at the text on the van far right in samples and foilage
