Anonymous, 28 Nov 2017Software plays huge part in camera performance.Yes but it is essentially the same unit with dual pixel autofocus. It was already lightning fast on the U11 and I doubt this can get slower to a point where you can even notice it. Software or not, HTC would not have reduced the speed of autofocus.

What about the DisplayPort feature? Why did you not test it?
All you need is a USB-C to HDMI cable and then hook up the phone to the TV and voila you get instantaneous real-time audiovisual transmission to the big screen.

How is it possible that it has Terrible battery life with such a big battery? It's probably flawed testing on gsm part

These people may not have used it under strong sunlight and may have no idea brightness can't go higher. So what they are praising is colors. Actually funny how even GSMarena haven't mentioned it in the intro as disadvantage. So if they are not objective, i'd say they haven't stressed enough on disadvantages. LAck of dual cameras or wireless charging is hardly a disadvantage worth mentioning.
As for battery, there are great tests at Youtube, but just a review mentioning how great battery is? Well that's just pathetic.

If you read user comments, you can find "The battery is superb easily lasts 1 or 2 days" posts under almost every phone you research...

The headphone jack might bother some people and not others, I dont have any top end headphones and use bluetooth to connect to my car anyway. plus the headphones in the box are top quality and the adaptor has a built-in DAC ...

According to GSMarena, any phone lasts at least 8h of SOT (Including this one), which is just ridiculous. And for most people 2-3 hours of actual usage +8h of standby means "the battery lasts a day". Not to mention many are claiming 2 or even 3 days.

Nothing spectacular in performance.
Software lost to google.
Audio quality will depend on adapter.

I'm seriously starting to.doubt gsmarena's numbers when it comes to these endurance tests. It's all perspective but this is the second phone I've seen with terrible battery scores but have seen reviewers say its battery is quite impressive. Seems quite fishy but like always I take these reviews with a pinch of salt and perspective
