I would have jumped on the Plus version of this phone in a heartbeat. North American markets need to have LTE band compatibility with more of these mid-ranger variants.
Samsung and other Chinese manufactures need to push these more.
US carriers need to stop being so close minded and selfish.
Either carrying flagships or entry level phones just does not cut it.

This is a good phone. There is always a better phone on market, don't worry about that. You can buy S9+ but there is iPhone X and vice versa. Buy A8 and you wont regret this. And what about android oreo? This uptate lacks about new features. Only minor things not worth to waiting even.

can anyone please confirm if the 2nd SIM in A8 (2018) supports 3G as well or it supports only 2G network. I could not find this information anywhere and in Australia there is no 2G support, so I got to have 2nd SIM also 3G supported at least.

My A8 2018 has one problem. I wish they could update the back camera issues. I have a problem on shooting landscape photos. It does not focus much on close objects. But, FFC is one of the best, really impressive performance (Bloatware is not my type), and nice extras. Hopes for Samsung to repair a software update on my Back camera...

Front camera is ok, back camera is really bad. It's also full of Samsung bloatware as always. Google Pixel is almost the same price and camera is much better

Donut, 26 Jan 2018LOL seriously man? S7 and S8 is better we all know that but... moreI bought this phone for 350 eur. It's a great phone but not worth more than what I paid for it. The GPU is weak, actually Adreno 508 from S630 has better performance than GPU from galaxy A8. Definitely, for 400 eur you can buy better phones than this one.

Sorry but are you serious "impressive image quality" ??? i had a5 2017 and image quality was bad when on pc screen. no OIS on this class samsung what's up with you ???

Yes, its sad that phone prices have gone up. However you can still find a good deals around you. Theres some phones thats better than the A8(+). Galaxy S7, Galaxy S8, Oneplus 5T, Honor View 10, and etc.
